FDR saved his plutocratic friends from revolution. They being dumb hated him for ever.
FDR took advantage of a situation of economic stagnation any Marxist would take.
Don't think for a minute the American populace in the 1930s was anything like Russia in 1917. People in the USA during the Great Depression were too busy going to school and getting whatever WORK they could find instead of demanding the government to provide for them. I know the stories of the times as my parents were young kids in those years and my grandparents scraped out a living for them.
Back then Americans never expected government to bail them out and feed their families. That was anathema. Family took care of family and if they truly needed food to eat or clothing the church stepped in. Back then just about everyone in the US went to church and were active in church.
Now Big Government is both the Golden Bull (calf) and Baal.

Germany in 1933 was different than Russia in 1917 and so America when FDR started his reform was different than Germany or Russia. It would be a different revolution.
Yet as I said dumb plutocrats were too shortsighted to see what might come. And their blindness they inculcated in the sheeple since 1970s using shills like Limbaugh. It is called "conservatism".

You do realize Animal Farm was directed at what happened in Russia? The proletariat revolts and seizes power from the monarch. Once the monarch is gone, certain members of the proletariat see them more equal than others and rule over them as either an autocrat or despot.
So you have it backwards. Worse things happened to the farm animals when the farmer was driven from the farm.
On Rush Limbaugh. He runs a radio program. I gather you have never listened to him. Plus the liberals stopped beating up on Rush about 10 years ago because (1) he's on the radio and (2) they don't like being his daily focus.

You don't realize that it is a uncanny prediction of return of Communist countries to the predatory capitalism. You miss the point that the farm before revolution and after the return to the old system (with pigs replacing and imitating human farmers) is a nasty and exploitative place.
1984 describes what will happen later in the West. Orwell was a Socialist, but a pessimistic one. He believed that sheeple are not capable to defend their freedom or rights. Sheeple will bleat as Rush Limbaughs direct them.
