Sneakypete, do you have an opinion on the two referenced firearms? I have heard some good and bad feedback on both.

I like both of these firearms. The springs are really tight. I had a devil of a time putting the magazine spring back in after I cleaned it.
The Ruger 10/22 fits in a slacks pocket better than any other.
Damn Chuck, must be some looooong pockets.
What we are talking about are large, loose-fitting slacks - Seriously - The Taurus PT-20 suits the purpose. EDIT: (Ruger was wrong - sorry...)

I was not sure which weapon you really intended, but knew it was not the Ruger. BTW, The Taurus PT-20 would be a handy size, and low priced as well. Although as you say, not a great performer. With that, better carry spare mags, and if need to use it, go for the eyes
For 'up-close' shooting only, really. About as accurate as a Norinco SKS rifle - which - The Norinco SKS - an impressive looking piece of Sorry to pollute the thread with nonsensical garbage, folks...

The barrel is absurdly short - let's be realistic.

junk. Unless you are aiming at the barn wall which
you happen to be standing next to. If so, you have
chosen the proper firearm.
