Title: Palin Women Masterfully Call Out Erick Erickson, Fox News On Trump-Kelly Flap

After being disinvited from a RedState event over the weekend, Donald Trump called RedState’s Erick Erickson “a major sleaze and buffoon who has saved me time and money.” The Donald may be on to something.

Erickson, a RINO on steroids could best be described with an old Ralph Kramden line. “I’ve seen some hypocrites in my day but he is the hippiest critic I have ever seen,” Jackie Gleason once quipped on The Honeymooners. Now Erickson’s latest comments are being taken to task by Bristol Palin and her mom, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. The two completely expose the ridiculousness that is political correctness with a big Bang, Zoom.

In her popular blog, Bristol Palin blasts Fox News for its Republican presidential debates last week and she chides Erickson for calling Trump a sexist.

Palin wrote: “It’s official. I used to use this blog to point out how liberals use the ‘outrage industry’ to manipulate people and keep their power. Now Republicans are just as bad.”

By now you’ve undoubtedly heard that there’s a guy named Erick Erickson, of RedState, who disinvited Donald Trump from a gathering of conservatives because, as he put it, “there are even lines blunt talkers and unprofessional politicians should not cross. Decency is one of those lines.” Erickson bumped Trump from the event after a war of words between Mr. Trump and Fox News host Megyn Kelly.

After the second GOP debate Thursday, Trump said, “you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her whatever.” Some took that as a dig at Kelly’s menstrual cycle. Erickson used it as an excuse to dump Trump. Kelly, a former guest on Howard Stern’s program, who also posed for pictures in GQ magazine while scantily clad was suddenly the poster woman for the fictitious war on women.

That liberal logic was picked apart masterfully by Palin. She wrote : Want to learn some “lessons in sexual and political decency” from Erickson? Here are three:

Palin listed just a sample of Erickson’s hypocritical comments and actions over the years. His use of a fake picture of her mother wearing a revealing shirt with Santa Claus, his profanity laced description of Supreme Court Justice David Souter, and a tweet from 2007 in which Erickson seemed to get his kicks off of Trump bashing Rosie O’Donnell on Fox–one of the very things Trump was slammed for in the recent GOP debate.

Palin also gave specific examples of Fox hypocrisy. She ripped the network for host Chris Wallace joking about hoping Sarah Palin would sit on his lap, and included a quote from Fox News President Roger Ailes in which he said he hired the former vice presidential candidate “because she was hot and got ratings.”

As for that former veep nominee, she is on board with her daughter evidenced by her promotion of Bristol’s Blog through social media. Sarah Palin provided a link to her daughter’s blog on Facebook with the intro of – “Rocks and glass houses don’t go together when you’re playing PC gotcha games, so please spare us the holier than thou routine. Read Bristol’s post on how hypocritical this ‘trumped up’ outrage is.” Both Palin women agree Fox should be ashamed to have asked Mr. Trump about his history of demeaning comments on women during the debate. It’s hard to argue with their commonsense stance.

Bristol Palin’s blog gives a tidy wrap-up of just how ridiculous so many so-called Republicans and “fair and balanced” news outlets have become. “We only have so many opportunities to hear from the fifty million candidates who are apparently running for President. And we get the Fox moderators asking questions that the New York Times applauds?” Palin said. “Please. Let’s don’t use the Democratic ‘war on women’ talking points when we have ISIS to worry about.”

“Fox and Erickson need to get off their high horse on how outraged they are NOW about sexism and decency,” Palin added. “Let’s focus on winning the election, not winning accolades from The New York Times.”

We will surely see and hear plenty more from the PC brigade and “outrage industry” as Palin puts it before the 2016 race is decided, but on this day the score is clear. Mama grizzlies- 1 RINOs- 0.

Trump/Somebody, until the inauguration, then a quick Veep resignation and Trump/Palin.

An independent like Trump will need impeachment insurance, and that ought to do it.

I've been wondering who Trump would pick for his VP. A Trump/Palin ticket....it could work.

Yeah, along with the wildly popular Meghan McCain who got fired from her nobody show on a nobody network. Unfortunately, FNC pretended to hire her for occasional commentary. You know, the voice of the young Republicans. As if.

Who do you think would make a good VP?

Rubio.

Trump is being accused of being anti-Hispanic because he wants to control the Border and stop illegal alien flow.

Rubio as dreams about an amnesty, but if he signs up with Trump he will "fix" that blemish on his record.

He will give conservative credibility. His supporters will transfer to Trump, because Rubio would be the heir apparent to the Presidency.

Rubio would learn a lot from Trump, and would be more seasoned.

Rubio brings things to Trump, and Trump will bring a lot to Rubio, and the conservatives/establishment will feel that they have a foot in the Trump team...but Rubio is young enough to really be influenced by Trump and shaped by him, if Trump is a good inside leader and boss (which I have heard he is).

With Rubio, the whole racist charge is confounded. And Rubio would be a credible candidate were he older and wiser.

Trump/Rubio is the actual ticket I'd like to see.

I assume Rubio is pro-life, but I don't know because I've never taken him seriously.

Also, if Rubio had the balls to sign on with Trump, it would show that he has vision, and is willing to take dramatic risks for dramatic gains.

Trump/Rubio, for 8 years, followed by Rubio/?

What about Cruz? Rubio is pro-amnesty.

No, Cruz is too weird.

To win, Trump has to gain the votes of independents and middle America, also blacks and Hispanics. He's not going to gain anything with Cruz.

Yes, Rubio has been pro-amnesty. He is young and foolish, and has backed himself into a corner.

Other than that position, he seems to be a good guy.

The Veep is second banana. A young Veep to a billionaire President will literally be his apprentice. He will learn things, see much, and he will adjust his beliefs to face the more complicated realities.

And Trump will have had eight years to impose a policy that works.

All Rubio then need do is maintain a proven policy. That will be a change from his youthful "I can't really figure this out, so here's my stab at it" stance that produced amnesty (or the appearance thereof), and a more mature: "This works" position.

Rubio can be rehabilitated, by Trump, and in the process he can add something to Trump.

Trump/Rubio is not two equals. It's Master and Apprentice, and it will give Rubio the chance to change his mind, and to openly participate in the implementation of a different policy than the ill-thought-out one he proposed 8 or 9 years before (once he's been Veep for two terms).

That's why Rubio. His amnesty stance will be irrelevant if he's Trump's apprentice. And 9 years' hence, he'll have learned better and be on board with Trump's by-then-successful Border policy, so it won't matter that, in his youth, he got it wrong. He'll have it right by the time he's ready to advance to power.

That's good enough.

We're not talking religion here, we're talking politics, which is about practical results.

Serving as Trump's VP will rehabilitate Rubio. By contrast, H.W. Bush already had a deep political base that he kept when he served Reagan. Rubio doesn't have the long Bush tradition of being wrong about everything for generations, so he will be more moldable and fixable.

Shamelessly Pro-Amnesty, a Latino-Supremacist, AND a GOPe sock-puppet. 3 Strikes -- he's O-U-T!

He's young. He's out as President, certainly.

But as Trump's Vice President, he will have the chance to rehabilitate himself, to learn, and to see the key immigration issue resolved by Trump, on Trump's terms, not Rubios. So that particular issue will be largely resolved before Rubio would ever be in a position to be setting policy.

Remember, Reagan was an ardent FDR Democrat activist, very pro-New Deal (which he never renounced), a union leader, and the signer of the law legalizing abortion in California.

People change their minds over time. Rubio would have 8 years as Trump's apprentice. He's young and would almost certainly come around.

He'd be ok as Veep, and it would be politically astute for Trump to pick him:

- He's Hispanic - it bethumps those who would claim that Trump hates Mexicans, etc.

- He's young and dynamic - future of the party stuff.

- He's acceptable to the Establishment - some putting the party together

- He's young - and therefore can be molded by Trump so that when he runs in 8 years, he'll be a very different candidate philosophically than, say, an older, hardened-in-his-ways Poppy Bush was ever going to be.

Men in their 30's and early 40's are still up-and coming and can change their approach in order to be successful.

Rubio is salvageable, and would be the best pick for all of those reasons.

Trump is a brash blowhard - we need him, he fights. But the Republican Party needs to have the hope of continuity after him, and that means a candidate acceptable to most of them. Rubio, because of his age and race and reasonableness of conservatism - and also the fact that he's just got this ONE issue that disaffects the conservatives, and being Veep will render him inert on that issue - is the perfect bridge. He's like the Triboro Bridge in New York - he brings a lot of things together.

Trump should name Rubio as his Veep.

Yes, I mean other than that.

And as Veep, he will be powerless for 8 years, during which the immigration issue will have been decisively addressed by Trump, in a way that is effective. Rubio will have accepted the policy that works, and won't return to his "We don't know what to do so we're all flailing" excessive young man's stance.

Pictures, Schmitures.

Trump met with Cruz. The subject matter was undisclosed, but some feel there's a mutual political arrangement of sorts NOT to open fire on each other.

This arrangement appears to upset and dismay GOPe supporters and the RNC-GOPe cartel itself, whose very Specialty of the House is...holding "insider" meetings of several GOPe/RINO candidates that specifically plot and plan the torpedoing of conservative Republican candidates.

It was a mean-spirited coinage of a word. As a campaign wears on, the leading contenders invariably get various nicknames as do the candidates. The original family name is Drumpf, not Trump. His father was born Friedrich Christ Drumpf, a very German sounding name. So it was a way to combine Drumpf with dumbkopf and get Drumpfkopf out of it.

Too German, probably. All those consonants just aren't catchy.

OIC. I respected Cruz for not going after Trump. I like that Trump wants to make America great again. Bring back jobs, protect us from the crime that's coming across the border. I personally know some people who are hurting because of the economy, job loss, etc. They are good people.

Well, it just isn't a good nickname overall. You don't want to be too cutting. I don't think Trump supporters are dumb. I think the idea of Trump as president is dumb. And I'm not sure Trump isn't just pulling our legs. He's entirely capable of staging a complete media hoedown just to assuage his ego or to further yet another of his business schemes.

The more he has to answer about policy positions, the less appeal he'll have, IMO. He does really poorly at any serious discussion of government policy, displays a shallow grasp of a lot of facts that all the other candidates know pretty well.

People expect a serious presidential candidate to be able to speak to the issues and have a command of the details as the campaign goes on. It often shapes the public's perception of the candidate. Look at how Jeb's gaffes have hurt him somewhat (on whether his brother's Iraq war was a good idea, his gaffe on funding for women's health, etc.). He isn't such a great candidate in English or Spanish IMO.
