The worlds first mass produced fuel cell vehicle, the Toyota Mirai, has reached Europe in production guise.
The first production Toyota Mirai models have officially landed this weekend in Europe, and more specifically in Bristol, UK and Zeebrugge, Belgium, ahead of the official launch in September.
The new hydrogen fuel cell EV will be offered in the UK, Germany and Denmark, where the hydrogen fuel supply and retail infrastructure is already being developed. The limited number of cars available in Britain is already sold-out, mostly by businesses and corporate customers.
Karl Schlicht, Executive Vice President Toyota Europe, said: This marks the debut of a new age for clean mobility, a turning point in the history of the automobile. With Mirai and its fuel cell technology, Toyota is working on delivering clean, safe and enjoyable mobility for the next 100 years. We are looking forward to the start of deliveries of the first Mirai to customers from September and to see the future taking shape on European roads....snip http://www.carscoops.com/2015/08/first-mass-produced-fuel-cell-vehicle.html
