New World Order Title: Trump Is STILL Right Time to clarify and amplify my former post on this topic. Yeah, you may not like Trump. But you still don't get to put words in his mouth. Specifically: Re Megyn Kelly quote: "you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever" (NOSE). Just got on w/thought. Do you have evidence that he meant "twat"? Because that's what you're all thinking, isn't it? And if not, and you are putting words in Trump's mouth (and you are), exactly who is the myogynist? Cut the crap: My first thought when the original cite about "blood coming out of her eyes" was berzerker-style rage. That, incidentally, is entirely consistent with what Megyn Kelly did, when you get down to it. She tried to play the social justice women card under intentionally false pretense and got it immediately thrown back in her face. As she should have. Let's talk for a minute about Trump's view of Megyn, which is probably driven by the very public reality of how she got where she is today -- a history that includes an appearance on Howard Stern's show in which discussion of her husband's penis and looks being a major criteria in her hiring and job retention were prominently featured. "You have the pressure to look your best"? (about 5 minutes in) Oh, so Megyn admits she was hired for her looks, not journalistic capability, and that forms a major part of her retention by Fox? Let's cut the crap, shall we? This was contemporary with her being hired by Fox News, and any male anchor who went on Howard Stern's show to discuss his wife's vagina and breasts, or that the appearance of his package through his pants as a reason for his hiring and retention would have instantaneously and irreparably destroyed his career. Here is the actual quote from the debate: KELLY: Your Twitter account has several disparaging comments about women’s looks. You once told a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice it would be a pretty picture to see her on her knees. Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president, and how will you answer the charge from Hillary Clinton, who was likely to be the Democratic nominee, that you are part of the war on women? What charge? I can find no record of any such charge by Hillary Clinton toward Donald Trump anywhere in the media. If she's said it nobody has reported it (and you know damn well they would as that would be news.) That is, Megyn made an intentionally false allegation and by doing so she leveled the charge herself, attempting to wrap it in Hillary's mantle. Here's what Donald had to say after this all blew up: Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump .@RedState I miss you all, and thanks for all of your support. Political correctness is killing our country. "weakness." EXACTLY. The bottom line: What is wrong with calling out someone who admits they are where they are in no small part due to how they look rather than their competence in their job? And further, what is wrong with expressing contempt, even rude contempt, for someone who admits this to be true in their particular case? And further, they then, on the stage of a national debate, literally up allegations out of whole cloth? As for the admission on how Megyn got where she is today we're not talking about my observation or even Donald Trump's observation. We're talking about the first-party admission of Megyn Kelly herself contemporary with her own hiring by Fox News for her own show. Second, who is the sicko in putting words in Trump's mouth -- specifically that he was referring to Megyn's vagina? Did he say that? No, and in fact the reference he did make with specificity was related to, as I originally noted (and which first came to mind when I heard the quote) a berzerker-like rage driven not by facts or reason but rather by rabid ideology -- or worse. And finally, by what right does a so-called "journalist" invent allegations, and attribute them to a competing candidate from the other party, that from all appearances and the results of a reasonably-diligent search they have never made? I heard the original "question" in real time, live. It was clearly an attack piece, taken from the playbook of "when did you stop beating your wife?" It was off-color and worse, intentionally dishonest. It's dishonest not only because it came from Megyn and not Hillary but also because Trump has a history of slamming people white, black, Jewish, Christian or whatever -- including John Stewart who he has attacked for changing his name and allegedly not being proud of his heritage! If you have ever watched The Apprentice you know this; in fact, it's part of why you probably watched it -- for the real-time zingers Trump launched at well-deserving losers. This much is absolutely true and if you don't want a flat-out refusal to take that sort of crap quietly or even politely in a President you are brain-dead. The fact (and reason he has such appeal) is that Trump is an equal- opportunity bastard. If he judges that you're a pretender, a ****-up, or someone who has gotten where you are through other than your honest hard work he will be all over you like a cheap suit and he won't be nice about it either -- especially if you're dumb enough to try to come after him with some cock-and-bull made-up line of cap. The fact remains it was Megyn's choice to attack him without being both competent and right, and more-importantly Trump has no obligation, nor does anyone else have an obligation, to be civil if attacked in an uncivil manner. What Megyn did was uncivil. She intentionally misrepresented his previous statements and acts as focused on women and cited them as, literally, a "war on women" -- under false pretense. That was a knowingly false accusation and the moment she made it she lost any right to complain about the tenor or type of response she got; in particular from that instant forward she had no right to expect any sort of civil discourse in response as she attempted nothing less than a knowingly- false and rabid smear job.
