Several of our founding fathers who were devoted Christians and who later became President did not seem to have a problem with the US Constitution.

The fact that they helped write it and grew up in a period when claiming to be a True Believer was pretty much mandatory may have had something to do with that.

So not seeing a strong case for your point.

Of course not, although I suspect you would if the nominee were a Muslim.

Or even a Quaker or a Mormon.

Why is democracy held in such high esteem when it’s the enemy of the minority and makes all rights relative to the dictates of the majority? (Ron Paul,2012)

a True Believer will put his religious beliefs ahead of everything else,

True.

And there is nothing wrong with that as long as they aren't the President of the United States. Although to be completely honest I have a serious problem with Catholics that owe their first allegiance to Rome, and Jews who owe their first allegiance to Israel. IMHO,if Rome and Israel are that important to you,you need to man the bleep up and move you ass to same zip code your heart occupies.

Well cross off Mormon. I stated on LP that Romney's religion would not influence my decision to vote or not vote for him.

Muslim? Your right I did not vote for the Muslim presidential candidate and settled for the Mormon in 2012. Plus unlike our American Christian tradition, Islam is inherently political from its inception.

Finally, we already had a Quaker President:

Nixon was a Quaker.

Nixon’s mother, Hannah, was a devout Quaker who instilled the faith in her husband and children. After the failure of his father’s lemon grove in Yorba Linda, California, Nixon moved with the family in 1922 to the nearby Quaker community of Whittier, which was named after one of America’s most eminent Quakers, the poet John Greenleaf Whittier. As a boy, Nixon went to Quaker meetings four times on Sundays and played the piano at church services. He enrolled at Whittier College, a Quaker institution, and attended mandatory chapel hours every day.

IMHO,if Rome and Israel are that important to you,you need to man the bleep up and move you ass to same zip code your heart occupies.

Jesus is God. God owns the whole world, and every person in it. He is the King, all humans are his subjects. Those who refuse to recognize his sovereign rule are rebellious subjects. He tolerates their existence.

The religion of Jesus is universal; its adherents span every land, and all of the land belongs to God. Which means that every acre of land on earth is under the jurisdiction of God.

The Catholic Church is God's Church on earth. The Holy Spirit was breathed into it, and lives there.

Therefore, the moral jurisdiction of the Catholic Church, as God's One True Faith, properly extends over every human on earth, and over every acre of soil.

Therefore, there is no "manning up" and moving to Rome. Every zip code on earth properly belongs to us. Through conversion and settlement the people of God seek to people the whole world and subdue her.

Wherever we are, it all belongs to us. Where nations and cultures have erected idols that oppose God, it is our job to peacefully undermine those idols, to replace them with truth, and to fill up those lands. This takes time, and we have until the end of it. Dripping hollows out rock.

So, there will be no moving. It's all ours, and in the end, our King will rule it all. And until he comes, we will be steadily pressing his borders outward, among the realms of men, and inward, in their hearts.

Rome merely happens to be where the HQ tent is currently pitched. But the whole world belongs to God, and therefore I'm not conceding any of it. And particularly not my native land. We are not leaving. We are taking it over. Demographics say that the Catholics will prevail.

So, I've heard your request for me to leave. But I prefer to stay and conquer.

I would have loved to be at one of the Lincoln/Douglas debates. I wonder if they could have dumbed it down to the point where it would have made for good TV, though

A transcript of all the Lincoln-Douglas debates is available in the Collected Works of Abraham Lincoln, Volume 3. An searchable online version is available at the University of Michigan. It would have to be sanitized or bleeped.

Not endorsing your party's nominee is not the same as running third party after participating in a party's nomination process.

Both are chicken sh*t thinks to do if you did vie for the nomination and lost.

And for all the whining over Ron Paul not endorsing the Stain or Romney, do you think it would have made any difference? Of course not.

Wrongo. There are things such as character, integrity, honor, decency, etc. that do matter very much - at least in my book.

Ahhh yes support the nimrod that the establishment nominates, where has that thought process gotten this country in the last 80 years??

Then why run for the nomination at all if you don't like the nimrods running it? Have some integrity, honesty, character, conjones, etc. and run 3rd party right off. Don't be a cry baby take my ball home asshole because you didn't win then pretend that it wasn't all that important to you because you really didn't want to be a member of that club anyhow. Uh,huh.

And the difference between fundie Catholics like you and fundie Muslims is you spell "Sharia Law" differently?

No. The difference is that the content of our moral code is quite different.

Their Allah permits them to marry multiple women and to beat them to keep them in line. Our Jesus permits us to marry only one, for life, as our helper and lover.

Their Allah demands that they make war on all of the infidels unto the end of the world. Our Jesus commands us to be peaceful and turn the other cheek.

Their Allah permits them to lie in order to advance their cause, because deception is legitimate in war, and they are always at war until the whole world is Muslim. Our Jesus commands us not to lie.

Their Allah and our Jesus demand everything of us - in that sense the Muslim and the Christian are parallel. But precisely WHAT Allah demands and WHAT Jesus demands is what makes all of the difference.

The Third Reich and the USA both had governments. They both had leaders, budgets and police forces. In that sense, they were very similar. But the content of their respective laws as different, and that made all the difference.

How so?

He's opposed to illegal immigration (and the only one on the Republican side willing to make a point of it).

He favors a common market in health insurance - a market-based solution to an insurance crisis. That's better than either party has come up with to date.

He talks as tough on ISIS as any Republican.

He believes in business.

What makes Donald Trump a Democrat? And why should a Republican like him get out of the way of those other weak sister losers up on stage with him?

Donald Trump is a winner. Always has been. He's charismatic and can lead people. And does.

So what is it about that that makes him not a Republican?

Oh, wait, he's a winner, not a loser, he's charismatic and can lead people. Yeah, that's definitely not the Republican style.

All republicans love illegal aliens. That is why America has NAFTA and CAFTA which has created the almost 50,000,000 illegal alien immigration march into the USA.

What the political punks have done is simple to explain: beg to be a Democrat to further weaken America's borders while inviting illegal aliens to vote. And, do not enforce the existing laws.

I recall he won 76 of 78 counties in the state. Far more popular than Perry was in Texas in his last election or Walker in WI or Jindal in LA or Bush in his last election in FL.

Not that I like Kasich. But we'll hear arguments on electability with Bush (or Rubio) to carry FL and Kasich to carry OH as VP. With the Dems having an automatic vote of 240+ EC votes and the GOP in the range of 180, FL and OH (and TX) are must-win for the GOP to win the WH.
