I just realized that many of the fine Americans that are viewing this website gladly accept the standards for drinking water in America based on some archaic government standard. Are you aware that both government issued and commercial water are not in complaiance for maximazing health as a human being? We need pure water, not water filled with drugs, sewage and added algae killer stuff + stuff that supposedly strengthens your teeth against tooth decay. The government shall always give standards of acceptable water quality based on the worst standards in the world; but, the US government has proven itself to be an unreliable source of protecting our respective health; yet they publish the worst standards in the world for water quality.
Do you drink piss water? Of course you don't. Or do you manage your own water resources for health? You should do so.

As an example, I filter the water for my family use with sub-micron filter technology along with UV light. It is the purest water in the world. And it is certified by independent labs. It tastes awesome, too.
