Title: Dr. Ron Paul: Donald Trump ‘Is A Dangerous Person’

Wednesday on “The Alan Colmes Show,” Alan spoke with former Presidential candidate and Congressman Dr. Ron Paul about a new book he has written called Swords Into Plowshares, which will be released this week. In the book, Dr. Paul documents his experiences with war and his hope that future generations will not be dragged into perpetual conflicts.

Dr. Paul gave Alan his opinions on the Iran deal President Obama discussed at a press conference earlier today, and shared his frank take on Donald Trump, who he called a “dangerous person” and “the opposite of a Libertarian:”

COLMES: What’s your reaction to the deal?

DR. PAUL: I’ve been very supportive of what the President is trying to do. So I would be in support of the agreement. Even though from my viewpoint there’s a lot of shortcomings because I like to think there was a time in our history where we dealt with this in a different manner. That one country with another country worked out its affairs, the Executive branch worked it out into a treaty and then the Senate approved it. This is very international and it requires a lot and it’s not going to be, it’s not a treaty, therefore the Congress rightfully should have something to say about it. But it was done in a manner that I wasn’t very enthusiastic about.

*****

COLMES: Is Donald Trump good or bad for the Republican Party?

DR. PAUL: Well, I don’t even care whether he’s good or bad for the Republican Party, I don’t have much interest in that per se, but I think he’s is a dangerous person. And a lot of people find him sort of funny, and love him, even Libertarian types.

COLMES: Why is he dangerous?

DR. PAUL: They like him because he’s so disruptive to the party system, and I enjoy that too. But I think he’s a man that if conditions deteriorate, which they can, see I work on the assumption that the world is no more stable than Greece, and if those conditions come, people want to be told what to do. “And I know what the answer is, and I’ll do this, and I am the man to this.” And he comes across this very well, and people listen to him, and I believe he may be raising white horses someplace and he’s going to ride in. Because he is almost the opposite of a Libertarian, because it’s not like “I want to give you your freedom and your liberty to run your life as you choose. Your civil liberties are absolutely yours, you can’t hurt anybody, it’s your own money you can spend it any way you want.” But he sounds like the person, “I know the answers and I’m going to do this and I’ve done this, I’ve done this, this and this.”

COLMES: An authoritarian?

DR. PAUL: He’s an authoritarian and that’s the way he claims he made all his money. So I see that as dangerous.

In this case not only did the apple fall far from the tree - it rolled out of the doggone orchard.

You really don't have a clue about Rand's policies, do you?

You see the name "Paul" and you immediately get a case of the vapors and ASSume "like father like son".

The funny thing is that the head canary Gatlin is the same way.

Rand has been good on exposing and opposing the surveillance state - other than that, he's a pandering warmonger.

Speaking with “This Week” host George Stephanopoulos, the libertarian firebrand said that because Snowden exposed programs that may be unconstitutional he does not deserve to be disciplined with a long prison sentence or the death penalty.

Rand Paul: Edward Snowden Committed An Act Of "Civil Disobedience"

"I think there do need to be rules, that being said, about people not revealing secrets. And I think the divulging of all kinds of secrets that endanger lives is wrong. But in this case, I think he was divulging a program that I think clearly, there are constitutional questions about and for which the director of Intelligence frankly lied to the U.S. Senate and said, we're not collecting any data on any Americans, when, in fact, they're doing a billion pieces of data every day."

You should have kept reading...

Just as I have continually said, you never know where Rand Paul stands from one minute to the next:
Rand Paul backs Snowden, bashes Clapper.

Why Is Rand Paul Being Duped by Edward Snowden?

It is difficult to fathom Senator Paul’s admiration for NSA leaker Edward Snowden. In an interview with Sean Hannity on June 17, Paul called Snowden “a civil disobedient” and compared him to Henry David Thoreau and Martin Luther King, Jr. Six days later, Paul told CNN’s Candy Crowley that Snowden “told the truth in the name of privacy.” It would seem that Paul believes that the motives of the former Booz, Allen & Hamilton employee are purer than the driven Snowden.
You screwed this up just like you acknowledged that Abdulazeez “was from Arizona.”

There can be no doubt there are better POTENTIAL CANDIDATES OUT THERE,but the truth is in the America of the early 2st Century, people like Barry Goldwater or Ronald Reagan wouldn't even be allowed to buy a ticket the convention, never mind be considered as candidates. No one that isn't controlled by blackmail and can't be counted on to do the work of the international bankers will never again be able to be elected to public office at the federal level, and damn few at the state or local level. Donald Trump’s View on Cannabis

Donald Trump has never smoked marijuana. The Donald says if he is elected President he would legalize drugs and use tax revenue to fund drug education.

Trump argued in 1990 that the only way to win the War on Drugs was to legalize drugs and use the tax revenue to fund drug education programs.

As he put it, “You have to take the profit away from these drug czars.” In his 2000 book, The America We Deserve, he stated that he’d never tried drugs “of any kind.”

Trump would legalize and tax drugs but this doesn’t mean he approves of the use. He fired Miss USA crown winner due to drug over-indulgence

It's really going to be hilarious watching you line up behind whoever wins the alleged Republican nomination, and once again go into the "I had to vote for him to keep Hillary/Saunders,etc,etc,etc from winning!"

EVERY election cycle we are treated to some prominent clown getting up there in front of the tv cameras and pretending to be a conservative in order to rally the conservative voters to fall into line and once again donate and become active in an alleged Republican campaign.

Then later when the paid agitator drops out,the conservative voters are already fired up and into the contest "against those evil Dims".....,and lo and behold, the old excuse "vote for the candidate to keep those anti-American Dims out of office!" rally call is heard, and once again almost all of you fall right into line and do it even as you grumble about it.

And the DNC plays the same game, telling the Dims "If you vote for a conservative slavery will become legal again, everybody will be required to carry machine guns, and women will be required by law to remain barefoot and pregnant!"

And like you,the moderate Dims will fall into line and vote for the leftist "savior" that they don't even want in office.

Tell me,Charlie Brown, how many times is Lucy going to snatch that football away at the last moment before you catch on?

What's He Really Worth?

BY 1993, with his casinos in hock, most of his real estate holdings either forfeited or stagnant and his father slipping into the fog of Alzheimer's disease, Donald Trump, at the age of 47, had run out of money. There were no funds left to keep him aloft, and as the bare-bones operation he maintained in Manhattan started to grind to a halt, he ordered Nick Ribis, the Trump Organization's president, to call his siblings and ask for a handout from their trusts. Donald needed about $10 million for his living and office expenses, but he had no collateral to provide his brother and sisters, all three of whom wanted a guarantee that he would repay them.

The Trump children's anticipated share of their father's fortune amounted to about $35 million each, and Donald's siblings demanded that he sign a promissory note pledging future distributions from his trust fund against the $10 million he wanted to borrow.

Donald got his loan, but about a year later he was almost broke again. When he went to the trough the second time, he asked his siblings for $20 million more. His brother Robert Trump, who briefly oversaw Donald's casinos before fleeing the pressure of working for him to take over their father's real estate operation, balked. Desperate to scrape some money together, Donald tasked Alan Marcus, one of his advisers, to contact his brother-in-law John Barry and see if he could intervene with Robert and his other siblings.

"John and I spoke about it a few times," Mr. Marcus told me. "In fact, we spoke about it in the conference room in Trump Tower. John then went around and addressed it with the family."

Mr. Marcus said that Mr. Barry successfully lobbied other members of the Trump clan and that another handout was arranged, with Donald agreeing again that whatever he failed to pay back would be taken out of his share of their father's estate.

"We would have literally closed down," said another former member of the Trump Organization familiar with Donald's efforts to keep the company afloat. "The key would have been in the door and there would have been no more Donald Trump. The family saved him."

Deferments Helped Trump Dodge Vietnam

7/18/15 UPDATE: Now that Donald Trump has maligned Senator John McCain as a phony war hero who got himself captured in Vietnam, below you’ll find a reminder--which TSG published the last time the Republican claimed to be running for president--how Trump avoided military service.

The son of a wealthy real estate developer, Trump received four student deferments that were followed by a 1968 medical deferment that came a few months after he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

After denigrating McCain during remarks today at the Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa, Trump faced reporters’s questions about his lack of service. Asked about the last of his five deferments, Trump said that his disqualifying medical condition was a bone spur in one of his feet (he could not remember which one). It is unknown on which golf course the injury was sustained.

APRIL 28--Despite Donald Trump’s claim this week that he avoided serving in the Vietnam War solely due to a high draft number, Selective Service records show that the purported presidential aspirant actually received a series of student deferments while in college and then topped those off with a medical deferment after graduation that helped spare him from fighting for his country, The Smoking Gun has learned.

And in most cases the clown will not even commit to support the nominee of the party if its not himself. Trump has not committed to support the REP candidate. He, like Ron Paul, will eagerly use the national platform that their candidacy for the REP nomination and garner all the media and public expose that this affords them but will not agree to support the party's candidate if its not them. WTF? Indeed, Trump wants to be the leader of the REP Party BUT will not support the partry's choice for that leadership. Damned He was down on his luck in the Real Estate Collapse. Then comes back stronger then ever

After his trust fund bailed him out.

Trump is no “Trust Fund Baby” and he never went bankrupt 4 times. Some corporations he ran filed for re-organization, that is not the going insolvent or bankrupt.

The United States could now use some reorganization because it is insolvent and Trump is just the person to reorganize America.

Trump is just the person to reorganize America.

Does that include legalizing ALL drugs?

Donald Trump’s View on Cannabis

Donald Trump has never smoked marijuana. The Donald says if he is elected President he would legalize drugs and use tax revenue to fund drug education.

Trump argued in 1990 that the only way to win the War on Drugs was to legalize drugs and use the tax revenue to fund drug education programs.

As he put it, “You have to take the profit away from these drug czars.”

Good grief man - can't you ever post facts?
He did not get "money from his trust fund to bail him out.
He was bailed out by a deferred payment to banks along with second and third mortgages on his properties.
There was NO trust fund.

Trump eventually found himself in serious financial trouble. In 1990, due to excessive leveraging, The Trump Organization revealed that it was $5 billion in debt ($8.8 billion by some estimates), with $1 billion personally guaranteed by Trump himself. The survival of the company was made possible only by a bailout pact agreed upon in August of that same year by some 70 banks, allowing Trump to defer on nearly $1 billion in debt, as well as to take out second and third mortgages on almost all of his properties. If it were not for the collective effort of all banks and parties involved in that 1990 deal, Trump’s business would have gone bankrupt and failed. *

You need to befactual when you post information.

Being opposed to the First Amendment is a cornerstone of organized religion. They seek power and wealth, and want their argument to be the only one heard and never want to hear it questioned because they have no real response other that "It's a miracle!" or "It's magic!"

They hate agnostics more than atheists because agnostics don't take a position on if a God exists or not,but say that IF one does exist, the MoFo is totally incompetent, cruel, and needs to be replaced.

Ok,ok. That's what *I* say,and I can NOT claim to speak for all agnostics, but common logic would indicate that the majority would agree with the core of my statement or they would be members of a religious cult themselves.

And don't try to lie and say this doesn't happen. Wars were fought over these distinctions.

Your use of the word cult to describe Christians says you are not compatible with this site.

Keep it up and it's permanent for you.

Wow - would that make all non-Christians not compatible with this site too?

I can think of quite a few who fit that description.

Or is it just those who disagree with you about Trump whose status here is in jeopardy?

Once the candidates for 2016 are finalized, are you going to purge the site of anyone who doesn't march in lock-step with your choice the way Rim Job does?

Just the ones who constantly say christianity is a cult.

You're fine.

Has nothing to do with Trump.

So, in other words you want only those opinions you agree with.

I see you banned sneaky.

From your home page:

This site was built upon the idea of free speech so everyone is welcome to come and discuss and debate the issues on hand.

You might want to think about changing that.

I made this site to be fun. Not to be harrassed by a pro faggot militant atheist who calls christians cult members.

I made this site to be fun.

No you didn't - you made this site to promote your own personal agenda.

Not to be harrassed by a pro faggot militant atheist who calls christians cult members.

Expressing the idea that homosexuals deserve the same rights as others does not make one "pro-faggot"

Like I said, there are several other militant atheists on this site who have said disparaging things about Christians, calling them delusional, having a mental disorder, etc.

When does the purge begin?

That isn't what the atheist fool does though. He wants special treatment for them and the refefinition of marriage to suit his perverted view.

End of discussion.

sneakypete>> I know what your program is. You know I get really pissed off at being called a liar, and you are trying to chase me off so you don't have to deal with the truth about your lust bunny and idol,Trump. You want to do that so you can pretend you are open-minded and I left of my own accord,or even that you chased me away.

That's what's behind all those bullshit 1 day suspensions.

You ain't fooling anybody but yourself.

I made this site to be fun.

a pro faggot militant atheist

LOL! Who'd have guessed?

Oh what fun, to call people names, and then censor, ban, suspend, etc. when they respond in kind.

It usually is fun when you're not around, pebbles.

I hope you come to your senses and unban sneakypete.

That's rich, since you USE this site to promote your own personal agenda... and you don't own it, fund it or even respect it.

And a good site it is. The Elpeestani refugees have moved in and acted like Palestinian refugees, promoting their degenerate left wing anti-American dope smoking militant homosexual agenda. You keep up the good work, and keep giving the SOB's hell. I love seeing them getting their well deserved smack downs.

And your America First "agenda" is pretty good, we need more of it!

Everyone here has their own agenda - even you.

The difference is, I don't operate a site that claims to be free speech and then ban posters for not marching in lockstep with the site owners agenda.

Or are you to angry to answer?
