Title: Dr. Ron Paul: Donald Trump ‘Is A Dangerous Person’

Wednesday on “The Alan Colmes Show,” Alan spoke with former Presidential candidate and Congressman Dr. Ron Paul about a new book he has written called Swords Into Plowshares, which will be released this week. In the book, Dr. Paul documents his experiences with war and his hope that future generations will not be dragged into perpetual conflicts.

Dr. Paul gave Alan his opinions on the Iran deal President Obama discussed at a press conference earlier today, and shared his frank take on Donald Trump, who he called a “dangerous person” and “the opposite of a Libertarian:”

COLMES: What’s your reaction to the deal?

DR. PAUL: I’ve been very supportive of what the President is trying to do. So I would be in support of the agreement. Even though from my viewpoint there’s a lot of shortcomings because I like to think there was a time in our history where we dealt with this in a different manner. That one country with another country worked out its affairs, the Executive branch worked it out into a treaty and then the Senate approved it. This is very international and it requires a lot and it’s not going to be, it’s not a treaty, therefore the Congress rightfully should have something to say about it. But it was done in a manner that I wasn’t very enthusiastic about.

*****

COLMES: Is Donald Trump good or bad for the Republican Party?

DR. PAUL: Well, I don’t even care whether he’s good or bad for the Republican Party, I don’t have much interest in that per se, but I think he’s is a dangerous person. And a lot of people find him sort of funny, and love him, even Libertarian types.

COLMES: Why is he dangerous?

DR. PAUL: They like him because he’s so disruptive to the party system, and I enjoy that too. But I think he’s a man that if conditions deteriorate, which they can, see I work on the assumption that the world is no more stable than Greece, and if those conditions come, people want to be told what to do. “And I know what the answer is, and I’ll do this, and I am the man to this.” And he comes across this very well, and people listen to him, and I believe he may be raising white horses someplace and he’s going to ride in. Because he is almost the opposite of a Libertarian, because it’s not like “I want to give you your freedom and your liberty to run your life as you choose. Your civil liberties are absolutely yours, you can’t hurt anybody, it’s your own money you can spend it any way you want.” But he sounds like the person, “I know the answers and I’m going to do this and I’ve done this, I’ve done this, this and this.”

COLMES: An authoritarian?

DR. PAUL: He’s an authoritarian and that’s the way he claims he made all his money. So I see that as dangerous.

Ever heard of a guy named Hugh Hefner? I have read reliable reports he had access to a few smoking hot women in his life, and he has also admitted to having homosexual relations.

At least Trump understands economics. Of course, ALL is the only way to take the profit out for the D&R Drug Cartel.

How are your synthetic Hash Oil stocks doing? Your profits are due to take a dive, when the Donald legalizes drugs and free market capitalism takes hold.

No more 1%er crony capitalist drug kingpin profits for you, tater! You're about to become one of the 99%. Thank the Donald.

Good grief man - two confirmations aren't enough for you?

Nope, because your confirmations were a LIE!
Good grief man - can't you ever post facts?
He did not get "money from his trust fund to bail him out.
He was bailed out by a deferred payment to banks along with second and third mortgages on his properties.
There was NO trust fund.

Trump eventually found himself in serious financial trouble. In 1990, due to excessive leveraging, The Trump Organization revealed that it was $5 billion in debt ($8.8 billion by some estimates), with $1 billion personally guaranteed by Trump himself. The survival of the company was made possible only by a bailout pact agreed upon in August of that same year by some 70 banks, allowing Trump to defer on nearly $1 billion in debt, as well as to take out second and third mortgages on almost all of his properties. If it were not for the collective effort of all banks and parties involved in that 1990 deal, Trump’s business would have gone bankrupt and failed. *

You need to befactual when you post information.

Trump argued in 1990 that the only way to win the War on Drugs was to legalize drugs and use the tax revenue to fund drug education programs.

You posted information where someone used selected excerpts from a speech Trump gave to 700 people at a luncheon in Miami on April 14, 1990, where he talked about legalizing drugs. He made a generalized statement and only selected excerpts of that speech have been posted many times with different portions selected to support different positions on legalizing certain drugs.

In my humble opinion, if anyone hates the First Amendment, it's you.

Being opposed to the First Amendment is a cornerstone of organized religion. They seek power and wealth, and want their argument to be the only one heard and never want to hear it questioned because they have no real response other that "It's a miracle!" or "It's magic!"

They hate agnostics more than atheists because agnostics don't take a position on if a God exists or not,but say that IF one does exist, the MoFo is totally incompetent, cruel, and needs to be replaced.

Ok,ok. That's what *I* say,and I can NOT claim to speak for all agnostics, but common logic would indicate that the majority would agree with the core of my statement or they would be members of a religious cult themselves.
