Bible Study Title: Many are called, but few chosen Wednesday, July 15, 2015 What did Jesus mean? What was He telling us when He said, "For many are called, but few chosen."? If you, as a Christian man have learned anything from the misuse of "Judge not, that ye may not be judged," Matthew 7:1 and "Lord, behold, here are two swords." And He said unto them, "It is enough". You should have learned that one of the most important keys to understanding Scripture is Context, Context, Context. For looking at "For many are called, but few chosen." all alone is not going to give you context, it is instead going to either leave you wondering, confused, or gullible to an interpretation done by some who puts filthy lucre ahead of your soul. So, let's look at the context that called for the Lord to say, "For many are called, but few chosen." 1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said; 2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain King, which made a marriage feast for His son, 3 and sent forth His servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. The King is God Almighty, The Son is the Lord Jesus, the Christ. The servants are the old Testament prophets, and the bidden are the Jews. 4 Again, He sent forth other servants, saying, "Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared My dinner: My oxen and My fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.'" 5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: 6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. 7 But when the King heard thereof, He was wroth: and He sent forth His armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. To understand the term, He sent forth His armies, think of the number of times you read, in the Old Testament, of how, when the Jews turn from God, He sent forth heathen armies to destroy, to enslave, to capture and abuse the Jews, the people of God. 8 Then saith He to His servants, "The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. 9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage." 10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. The servants now are both the Old Testament prophets who continually told of Christ coming and the New Testament Apostles who continually tell of Christ and what He did. Those called by the servants to come to the feast are all that profess to be Born Again Christians. 11 And when the King came in to see the guests, He saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12 And He saith unto him, "Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment?" And he was speechless. 13 Then said the King to the servants, "Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14 For many are called, but few chosen." Matthew 22:1-14 ACP/KJV So, who is God talking about when He said: "For many are called, but few chosen."? What God is saying is that the death of Christ on the cross and His resurrection, would satisfy the payment for every sin committed by Man, but, only those who are truly Born Again Washed Clean in the Blood of the Lamb Christians will at the marriage feast of the Lamb and be joint heirs with Christ. The man without the wedding garment is anyone, who while professing to be Christians, is not. The servants removing him and throwing him into the lake of fire, are Angels. Just claiming to be a Christian doesn't make you one.

What does make person a Christian?
That's so true, obamit claims to be Christian, as does Cart3r and CLinton, yet, their fruits tell a different story.
