You can't move to a better neighborhood anymore. The reason why government pays them 10 times more than what they would be worth in the market place. Obomber lived in an exclusive white neighborhood. So did/does the "Rev-rund Wright". Both houses cost over a million bucks.

Best place to be, out away from all the idiots. I did the same thing about 10 years ago and don't regret one minute of it. I'm not as far out as you cause I still have to work but it's quiet here and I hardly ever see a ghetto rat drive by on the main road.
We did have an issue once where a few of them were going around trying to steal peoples mail. It was early one Sunday morning and I seen them hitting mailboxes down the road. So I just went out and stood by my mailbox, once they got close and got a good look at Uncle Siggy they hauled ass. Haven't seen them since and probably never will again.

LOL. Reminds me of a local incident. There had been a rash of B&E's. Mostly some young crack heads, money for drugs thing. A buddy of mine decided he was going to intervene at his parents home. He went out in the woods around their home, wearing camo fatigues, with camo on his face, carrying his Springfield M1-A. A short while later a car came up there & parked. He watched, but nobody got out. After a short while, he went down to the vehicle. It is noteworthy my buddy is a big guy. He approaches the vehicle and taps the windshield with the muzzle. Turns out to be some guy with another mans wife, smoking a joint, getting undressed. It really scares the shit out of them. They left, and nobody has ever been back up there since. LOL
But if you keep doing it the insurance companies will not insure them.

One of my neighbors who has lived out here for quite sometime said that it used to be common, but now that some others have built nearby the B&Es have subsided about 90%.
I keep trying to get the others on my road to let me make up some signs with my router saying "Protected by Sig Sauer or Smith and Wesson" but for some reason they won't let me. They say it would draw too much attention from the Sheriff but personally I don't think he would mind. (BTA maybe they own Glocks or Springfields)?? :)

LOL, before we built the house, I had a guy out here building the road in. Many neighbors stopped to welcome us to the neighbor hood. One buy stopped, and mentioned thieves. I told him I was not concerned about them. He was surprised. I told him that I had a shotgun, a shovel, and 100 acres, and that if any thieves came around they would stay here, in the garden spot. He was quite shocked. Later when relating the story to my LEO friends, they laughed, because that guy was the father of the biggest thief in the area. I have never had anything stolen.
