Lincoln is an interesting president. I think he was a tyrant. He started the civil war which killed many of our people.
Here is from your source. I like this theory also.
LINCOLN'S ASSASSINATION WAS THE RESULT OF A CONSPIRACY OF POWERFUL INTERNATIONAL BANKERS This theory is that Abraham Lincoln was killed as a result of his monetary policies. John Wilkes Booth would be seen as a hired gun. In its simplest terms, the theory is that Lincoln needed money to finance the Civil War. Bankers in Europe led by the Rothschilds offered him loans at high interest rates. Rather than accept the loans, Lincoln found other means to fund the war effort. More importantly, the British bankers opposed Lincoln's protectionist policies. Some Englishmen in the 1860's believed that "British free trade, industrial monopoly and human slavery travel together." Lincoln's policies after the Civil War would have destroyed the Rothschilds' commodity speculations. After the war, Lincoln planned a mild Reconstruction policy which would have enabled a resumption of agriculture production. The Rothschilds were betting the other way on high prices caused by a tough Reconstruction policy toward the South. Lincoln was viewed as a threat to the established order of things, and he was assassinated as a result. The goal was to weaken the United States so the Rothschilds could takeover its economy. An article titled "The Rothschilds' International Plot to Kill Lincoln" was published October 29, 1976, in New Solidarity.
many people feel he was our greatest president, and some think he started a war with the south to gain absolute power, . I like to think he had noble intentions
How about some history on Lincoln. I know that he said in his first innagural address that he had no power to free the slaves. But history has made him out to be the saviour of the black man. He also didn't free any slaves in his immancipation proclomation. Why didn't he free the northern slaves in his proclomation. What about the fact that he issues a proclomation. Aren't we a nation that has congress and senate pass a bill than the president sign it into law. Not a leader proclaiming law. I am glad that slavery doesn't exist in the old form that it used to exist for black people. It was definately wrong.
Didn't the south have the right to secede from the union? The United States was born from seceding from Great Britain. Didn't the soverign states remain the right to pull out of the union if they so desired. If they don't have that right than are the states really free. Doesn't that make Washington a tyrant over the several states?
If you were to use that logic than you would believe the very thing(that most people consider) that make us civilized, also takes away all of our liberties. Order isn't always a bad thing, but the government isn't following the ways of our forefathers, this is present day. Do you believe the downfall of our government started with Lincoln?

You stated that Washington may be a tyrant over all of the states, but if you took away Washington's power we would be another Africa, with each state being controlled seperately. Centralized government is what we have,im not saying each state couldn't govern themselves , im just saying our country was formed on the unified states to take down Britain.
Actually we were formed under the articles of confederation. Which gave the states a stronger role than they now have. They were soverign. When the states formed the constitution, some would say illegally but that is a different argument. They gave the federal government certain powers. Every other power was reserved for the people or to the states.
That is what I want to get back to. A constitutional government.
Lincoln acted illegally and immorally in my opinion. The federal government doesn't or isn't supposed to have power not delegated to it.
Here is what it would be like. Say you were a wealthy man and you had to travel far away. You left your servants in charge of your place. You gave them things to do and rules to follow. Our situation today is like that. Only when the master came home the servants were telling him what to do and ordering him around.
