"NYSE/NYSE MKT has temporarily suspended trading in all symbols. Additional information will follow as soon as possible," the NYSE said in a statement on its status page. A technical issue caused the trading halt, Reuters reported, citing a source. Trading stopped around 11:30 a.m. ET. Reported Glitch Hits NY Stock Exchange and United Continental Flights According to United Continental, flights were temporarily grounded this morning because of computer problems. United cited “network connectivity” as the source of the problems. Just hours ago, the NY Stock Exchange halted trading in all securities as it addressed a computer malfunction and said it canceled all outstanding orders, according to Bloomberg. Kevin Callahan, a spokesman for the Securities and Exchange Commission, declined to comment. It is not known if the two incidents are related.
