I was reading an article about Lesbos yesterday, and it struck me that America is becoming more and more like Lesbos. Lesbos, an island of Greece, has a small population that is being inundated by illegal aliens.
The Mayor of Lesbos has offered a stark vision of the migrant crisis affecting the Greek island by explaining: 'Every day (it's like) a new village is born.' Spryos Galinos' concern is justified - as more than 25,000 people have arrived on the island of about 80,000 inhabitants since the start of the year.
The illegal aliens who come to Lesbos are from the Middle East and Africa, not Central America, but otherwise the crisis is the same. You may think that America has a much larger population, but we have taken not thousands, but tens of millions of illegal aliens.
It's difficult to find statistics that break down illegal immigrants from legal ones, but here are statistics for the number of "foreign born" residents of different areas. For sake of this article, I will simply call them "foreigners." The Miami metro area alone has two million foreigners. That's a tremendous number, and nearly 37% of the area's population. There are vast areas where English is a no-go language, huge pockets of unassimilated neighborhoods that are like giant kidney stones in the American body.
San Jose has a foreign population of 650,000, also about 36% of the population. The Los Angeles metro area has nearly 4.4 million foreigners. Some small countries don't even have 4.4 million people, and here we are with a city area that has 4.4 million of them, many of whom don't speak English, in whose cases we have no idea who they are or what they're doing here.
The San Francisco/Oakland area has 1.2 million foreigners, representing about 30% of the population, a huge percentage. Meanwhile, the New York metro area has 5.3 million foreigners. That's a tremendous number. How can we assimilate so many immigrants at once? The answer is, of course, that we can't. Instead of their assimilating into America, America is becoming like them.
But it's not all confined to big cities. Springwater Florida is 74% foreign. Langley Park, Maryland 67%. Palisades Park, NJ 67%. Toughkenamon, PA 62.6% . Oasis, CA 62%. Cactus, Texas 60%. Mattawa, Washington 56%.
What does it say when the majority of a small town's population are foreigners? At that point, they become Lesbos. And there are many more towns about to become Lesbos, even in the middle of America. Liberal, Kansas is 32% foreign. Chelsea, MA is 45%. Jackpot, Nevada is 40%. You can see the entire list of Lesbos-in-waiting here.
Whether we're talking about legal immigration or illegal aliens, the combined total can't be so large that it simply swamps America. At the rate we're going, we'll all wake up one morning and look around our formerly American varied neighborhoods and suddenly find ourselves surrounded by many mini-Lesbos who, instead of assimilating into our culture, will insist we become like them.
