Interview with man who used personal firearm to save crowd from armed terrorists
God used a shepherd boy, David, armed with 5 stones to defeat Goliath. In 1993, God used a missionary, Charl van Wyk, armed with a .38 revolver and just 5 rounds, to defeat a terrorist attack from 4 men armed with AK-47s, grenades & molotov cocktails.
In just 30 seconds, the terrorists were able to kill 11 people and wound 58. Some were gravely wounded with injuries that would forever alter their life. But the terrorists had planned to kill everyone in the church and were equipped to do so.
We talk to Charl about the sensational events of the church shooting and his spiritual journey from Christian pacifist to a man God used to protect the lives of over 1,000 people.
Charl is a full-time missionary of Frontline Fellowship, the Director of Africa Christian Action ministry, the presenter of the weekly radio program Salt and Light, and the author of: Shooting Back The Right and Duty of Self- Defence.
