Title: Morning Joe: Joke Could Be On Those Who Mock Trump

"People who think he's a joke and a fool need to be careful because by the end of the campaign, the joke may be on them." That's how Joe Scarborough summed up the surprisingly respectful analysis of Donald Trump's candidacy on today's Morning Joe.

Introducing the segment, Scarborough suggested that if Trump sticks to a Perot-like populist message, he could get 15% of the primary vote. When Joe turned to Steve Schmidt, this NewsBuster expected the former McCain campaign manager and establishment Republican to dump on Trump. But to the contrary, Schmidt agreed heartily with Joe and went on to make the case that Trump is channeling widespread popular resentment, is the man people would want to hear in a debate, and could be "very impactful" in the race. John Heilemann was similarly respectful of Trump's potential, saying he "doesn't play by the rules and is fearless," and receives serious, generally favorable local coverage in places like Iowa and New Hampshire.

Rest of story and video here.

Trump would give this country a sorely needed, slap-in-the-face wake-up call on a whole bunch of issues.

I've been talking to and gauging a few people. Lots of people like him.

On here me and you disagree on lots of stuff. But we agree Trump would be good.

"But we agree Trump would be good."

No worse than the clown we had for the last 8 years. Which should be Trump's campaign slogan.

But the press will have a field day. By the end, they'll be reporting he eats babies for breakfast. Democrat babies. Black Democrat babies.

The 47% will be out in force with their marches, riots and sob stories about how Trump wants them to suffer. Public and private sector unions will announce the end of civilization. Hollywood will rush to make propaganda films making Goebbels look like an amateur.

It would be so much fun watching the left go apoplectic.

There it is, I was waiting for it....my morning laugh.

You have restarted my day.

I needed the lift....I just read a couple of "Deckard's Downers" and responded.

I can now go and enjoy a pleasant breakfast...

I loved Trump's speech. One thing, he is the only one with cajones to get rid of unnecessary goverment bureaucracy and departments. He would take those on. Imagine that.

I was watching F&F this morning and Dooce did an on the street segment. Of all the candidates, Trump got the most endorsements. That surprised me. Looking around the web, Trump's message has been well received. Most are sick and tired of the memes and political class as a whole. Trump is well received.

Notice that he has all the right enemies on both sides of the aisle...the media is apoplectic.

Donald Trump is no Ross Perot; the three tyme bankrupt MOGUL will never have the high principles of Ross Perot.
