Pope Francis will this week call for changes in lifestyles and energy consumption to avert the “unprecedented destruction of the ecosystem” before the end of this century, according to a leaked draft of a papal encyclical. In a document released by an Italian magazine on Monday, the pontiff will warn that failure to act would have “grave consequences for all of us”. Francis also called for a new global political authority tasked with “tackling … the reduction of pollution and the development of poor countries and regions”. His appeal echoed that of his predecessor, pope Benedict XVI, who in a 2009 encyclical proposed a kind of super-UN to deal with the world’s economic problems and injustices. According to the lengthy draft, which was obtained and published by L’Espresso magazine, the Argentinean pope will align himself with the environmental movement and its objectives. While accepting that there may be some natural causes of global warming, the pope will also state that climate change is mostly a man-made problem. Poster Comment: NWO Pope....

The popes believe that the condition of primitive societies celebrating living at the same conditions of stupidity and productivity as they did 8,000 years ago is somehow an economic injustice for which we all must be browbeaten into a condition of groveling kneeling neurotic guilt and subservience. Any society or people who have the gumption and genetic capability can advance their primitive culture 5,000+ years by buying intoductory texts at a high school or college level book store.

What? Please document you claim. What CZ may mean by his statement is that the majority within the Dem Party and its leadership is rife with Catholics. And apparently so too are many Pubbies north of the Mason-Dixon line. Moreover, not ONE single Protestant on the US Supreme Court. DOCUMENTED. At least half of all Catholics are Dems, pro-abortion, and liberal. Yeah -- none of us like that kind of hypocrisy either, but then again, look at their so-called "leader," the Pope.

I've seen some reports that some libs at the Vatican released a few select quotes from a very preliminary draft of the encylical and they are daring the pope to contradict it much in the final document. This is, however, a convenient way to poll-test how far the pope can go in his craven pursuit of mass media approval. A truly lousy pope, all around.

Do you disagree? If it's too embarrassing to admit that McCain and Romney are REAL Republicans, I understand. Now we know who wrote the scripted for the movie "NOAH"! Almost 60% of Congress is Protestant. There has only been one Catholic POTUS. You are correct about SCOTUS, it has six Catholics and three Jews. But SCOTUS is not an elected body, at least not directly so. About 92% of COngress is Christian. Catholics represent about 30% of the U.S. population, Pressies about 60%. Both Pressies and Catholics are slightly over represented in Congress vis-vis their respective makeup of the U.S. population. The only truly over represented religous group in Congress are Jews, with only about 2% of the U.S. population over 7% of Congress is Jewish. In general Jews are much more liberal and Dems than Catholics, Pressies generally more so as well. потому что Бог хочет это тот путь

We waited till it came out on netflix. We still almost did not watch it. I had to see what all the bs was about. Really hate taking other peoples word for something. We all just laughed at the movie and the made up stuff in it. Im mean really, how hard would it have been to make a true to bible movie? They actually had to work harder to make stuff up then to stick to the truth!

As I stated, the justices of the Supreme Court are not elected but appointed by elected representatives of We The People (POTUS propose, Congress disposes). In you opinion what accounts for the fact that SCOTUS does not have a single Protestant on the court? Are all the judges Democrats? Liberals?

They sure don't legislate according to their Christian ideals/worldview. You fail to realize that "THEY" are what pass for mainstream Christians these days and have a different view of the tenets of Christianity than you or I. I include the Pope in the current mainstream category. Christian traditionalism is all but dead save in small enclaves. I think it is a fact that the Bible teaches that Wide is the way to death and narrow is the gate to life. I know for certain that congress isn't the exception and only 34 aren't saved. You're fooling yourself if you tell yourself otherwise. You're mistake is giving people the benefit of the doubt. A mistake.
The mainstream Christian, such as Pelosi She isn't a christian. Give me a break. De facto she is. She more closely represents the beliefs and lifestyle of the vast majority of self-avowed Christians, not only in the U.S. but around the globe. You may not like that but it is true. I would leave the judgment of who is and who is not a Christian up to God.
