Bush was Reagan's "heir apparent". It wasn't true and four years later he was tossed out of office just like Jimmy Carter. In 2000, the GOP establishment told us that another Bush was more like Reagan than his own father. It also wasn't true. George W Bush turned out to be the biggest spender since LBJ. The only thing that saved him in 2004 was the incorrect belief that W. Bush was busy rectifying 9/11. The reality was that Bush lost focus on 9/11 and decided to invade Iraq instead. Today in 2016, the GOP establishment is promoting yet another Bush. Of course, this time he is the real deal. Yeah, sure he is.
