An attorney for former McKinney, Texas, police officer Eric Casebolt, who became a focus of controversy after being caught on video pinning a young black girl to the ground and drawing his weapon on other teens, offered an apology for his actions Wednesday. “He regrets that his actions depict him and his department in a negative light. Is that the cop doing tactical barrel rolls as if under gun fire in Mosul trying to arrest half naked pool party teens?
Of course, we should always give cops the benefit of the doubt because of the emotional stress they are under when are dealing with the public. The poor misunderstood darlings really need to be protected from those mean cop-haters who say bad things about them. Maybe we need a law that makes it illegal to criticize the delicate darlings. There are a few on this site that would happily trash the first amendment just so cops' widdle feelers won't be hurt.
