Sirius satellite radio shock jock Howard Stern gave an enthusiastic thumbs-up to GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul on his program today, saying the maverick congressman is "fantastic."

"I've got to tell you about this guy Ron Paul," Stern said on his show. "This guy – he's a Republican – and he says listen, when I become president, I'm taking us out of Iraq, I'm taking us out of everywhere in the world. …

"What good has it done us being in these f---ing Middle Eastern countries?"

Still paraphrasing Paul, Stern said: "I'm not an isolationist. I'm not afraid to use the military where it's needed. But to sit in these extended f---ing wars, draining the economy – and if we stay or we leave, the same g--d--- thing happens: nothing! So let's leave."

Continued the radio host: "People love this guy when he talks. He makes sense."

Near the end of the clip posted on YouTube (caution: explicit language), Stern's female co-host asked him: "But where are the votes?" Paul came in fifth in the Iowa Caucuses last week, garnering 10 percent of the Republican vote.

Sirius satellite radio shock jock Howard Stern gave an enthusiastic thumbs-up to GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul on his program today, saying the maverick congressman is "fantastic."

Near the end of the clip posted on YouTube (caution: explicit language), Stern's female co-host asked him: "But where are the votes?" Paul came in fifth in the Iowa Caucuses last week, garnering 10 percent of the Republican vote.

(Story continues below)

Stern's support for Paul is not surprising given his short-lived run for governor of New York in 1994 as a Libertarian. Paul first ran for president as a Libertarian in 1988 and holds many principles in common with the Libertarian Party.

After multiple controversies over his creative use of language on terrestrial radio, Stern began his Sirius program in 2006, unencumbered by Federal Communication Commission broadcast standards.

Paul appears to have finished 5th in New Hampshire with about 8% of the vote...MUD

Key word is appears. Can anyone prove it. That goes for Hillary too. They count these votes with computers and they can't be trusted. I'm not saying Paul got the majority. I am saying that computers can't be trusted to count votes. I am also saying Obama very likely got cheated.

I never listened to his radio show. I have seen parts of his TV show when it was on. Hell is that show still on, I don't know.
