An Army bio-defense facility in Utah may have mistakenly sent live anthrax samples to 51 commercial companies, academic institutions and federal labs without proper safeguards, more than double the total disclosed last week, a widening Pentagon investigation has found.

Officials said Wednesday that the facilities are scattered across 17 states and the District of Columbia, as well as in Canada, Australia and Korea, suggesting a systemic lapse in the military's little-known program to study defenses against biological weapons agents, including anthrax.

I saw this news story earlier. I think there must be more to the story than is being presented. I find it hard to believe something like this would "mistakenly" happen.

The Freeper line of thinking on this would be "See, Saddam had WMD after all! So when are we invading Iran?"

Why would scores of labs all over the world have a need for anthrax samples?

The Freeper line of thinking on this would be "See, Saddam had WMD after all! So when are we invading Iran?"

Actually, Saddam had his anthrax samples that were obtained from American sources and it was well-known at the time. When we egged Saddam into attacking Iran for the bloody Iran-Iraq War, we gave him all kinds of weapons.

We were only shocked that he was gassing Kurds well after the facts were known but we wanted by then to use that to vilify Saddam for domestic propaganda and topple his regime. At the time, we could have cared less if he could have knocked off the mullahs of Iran.

At the time of the invasion, it was known to the public that Saddam got most of his WMD supplies from us or from the Brits or Krauts. The Israelis drew the line at Saddam's mega-cannon being built by that Canadian artillery designer that Mossad assassinated to prevent him finishing Saddam's super-cannon.

Was this a walk back of a planned false flag? Because of Rand Paul, Obama not starting wars in Iran and Syria and the McCain war mongers freaking that Rand Paul ended elements of the Patriot act you can imagine a scenario where elements within the Military Industrial Complex could stage a false flag like this.

Obama would need to cover it up even if it was designed by his enemies because it makes the USA look bad and might prove fatal for America's world standing.

If this was an aborted false flag, we may hear about a helicopter or 2 crashing and all lives lost or some such in the near future.

My friend also has one that looks like that one.
My friend was lonely and wanted companionship.
He got it....the dog will not leave his side.

He got it....the dog will not leave his side.

Lost a great Beagle a number of years ago while deployed in Iraq.

Came home and my son (still very young) wanted another dog. I did not. I lost a good friend in that Beagle and wanted to wait. Second son came along and my older son kept wanting a dog. I said we would wait a bit.

In what would be the first event of my son finding ways to get what he wanted (another dog) and also trying to please his father (me), he approached my wife (his mother) and asked her if he could 'get' a dog for dad's birthday. Wife agreed that would be very nice but that he had to pick out a dog dad always wanted from a child---a Yellow Lab.

Not knowing the secret operation, I came home late from work one night two days before my birthday to a wonderful Yellow Lab puppie who was already weaned and ready for training:)

I took some leave a couple of weeks later to train the dog properly and bond with it. Best dog in the world...and she is still with us at 9 years old a bit slower but still full of energy. Labs are the easiest dogs to train IMO. The Beagle was great as well. A bit stubborn to commands, and training. But hands down if you want a sporting dog or just a good pet which interacts with the entire family, the Lab is the best IMO.

And yes, every birthday I take my son aside and remind him (now in his teens) that he gave me the best birthday gift of my life.

We now also have a German Shepherd-Basset Hound mix which was a 'third chance' rescue dog. Stubborn like that old Beagle I had, but with the arrogant 'air' of a Shepherd:) She marches to beat of a different drum but is also a wonderful dog. She appreciates all that she has, as she came from nothing and faced being put down three times before 'finding' us. "That" is a story in itself and I use ol' Penny girl's 'story' to explain how we who are spiritually lost and facing the worst judgment can find Grace and Peace in God.

The dews of grace fall heavily in the night of sorrow. The stars of promise shine forth gloriously amid the darkness of grief. Continue thy service under all changes. (C.H. Spurgeon)

My cousin always has Golden Retrievers and I have my playful boxers, they don't slow down until it's time to expire.

We lost our oldest one Titus over the winter he was 10. He died doing what he loved doing and that was chasing the other 2, one minute he was sprinting after them and a few minutes later he was dead, heart attack I think. We were out on the bike path at the time and I had to carry him in my arms over 1/2 a mile back to the truck, that 1/2 mile seemed like it took a week or more to travel...

I have to agree. I love Labs, have had several, loved them all. The female we have now is great, but very headstrong. I also like beagles, and border collies. We just lost our Border Collie, 12 years old. I greatly miss him! I miss all the others we have had!

I really enjoyed reading that.

My youngest son always wanted a guinea pig. My wife said she would never have a rat in the house. My family was fortunate to be able to spend 30 days each summer in Europe during the last 10 years of my service, except for the year tour in SEA. My son did not want to go with us to Europe one year, but wanted go to summer camp with a friend. Everyone decided it was okay if he stayed with his friend’s family and went to summer camp. When my wife and I returned from Europe and picked up our son, he came out with a guinea pig in a cage. It took about a week and my wife could not stay away from “Herman.” She cleaned his cage, fed him and did everything to care for him. Of course, she gave my son visiting rights. We had Herman for some time when one night an extremely violent thunderstorm passed over. The next morning we discovered Herman had died and thought it must have been from a heart attack caused by the loud thunder. My wife cried for days. She and my son gave Herman a funeral with full honors. I regretted that we did not have the foresight to realize that Herman may have been frightened and we should have held and comforted him during the thunderstorm.

I’ll save the surprise turtle story for another time.

Sad but nice story. Have two G-pigs too. They love to "talk".
