Okay - this is really dumb - and kind-of embarrassing. Computers have audio jacks - right? Sure they do. So that is why - luckily - someone, about 35 years ago - 'Red is this, green is that' - etc. Now you might THINK that someone would have memorized Ah! But you would be wrong. Which actually ticks me off. So could somebody (with good eyes) look at the front (or back) And, yes - I keep buying bigger and bigger flat screen computer
They USED to be LABELED as to what they are. Right?
And they still ARE labeled (sometimes) with little itsy
bitsy symbols molded into the black plastic.
These symbols cannot easily be read and understood -
(except by blind people).
came up with a color scheme for the jacks (plugs).
that color scheme in the past 37 years.
I'm trying to wire up this new computer into my mess -
and I realize that I am significantly handicapped by my
inability to see clearly.
Can't see the itsy, bitsy symbols - but I CAN see the colors.
I've gone blind in my right eye (years ago) - and I always WAS
very near-sighted in both.
oh his or her computer, and tell me what the dang audio jack
colors are? (I'll file it it my reference folder, to avoid
future embarrassment / annoyance.) Thanks!
monitors. I think an AOC is next, actually...

Mine do not have colors just braille marks - one for jack, one for mike.

Look for "120V Out". That's an abbreviation for "Location 12, Zero Volume, Outer". Plug in there. When you wake up, find someone to help you plug in your audio. Oh, and there's no such thing as a dumb question. I love answering them.
