Title: Cop Claims Freedom of Speech Does Not Give Citizens the Right to Question Police

“You don’t have the right to question me about what we’re doing out here…Freedom of speech does not include questioning me, it doesn’t work like that.”

Hartford, CT — Entrepreneur and police accountability activist, Michael Picard was out warning drivers about a DUI checkpoint ahead when he caught a cop speaking quite candidly about his authority.

On his YouTube channel, Picard explains how the night progressed:

On Friday, May 15th, I cop blocked a DUI checkpoint in Hartford, CT, holding up a sign that read, “Cops ahead (Turn now).” Many people ignored the sign and went through the checkpoint, undoubtedly thinking, like most people do, that they have nothing to hide and, therefore, they have nothing to fear, and still, many people turned before the checkpoint, thanking me and laughing because I did this right in front of the cops.

As Picard engages in conversation with one of the officers, their conversation becomes frank, quickly.

The officer explains how stopping every car on the road and detaining them, somehow stops DUI’s. Picard retorts by saying that he only witnessed one car being suspected of drunk driving all night and the others are merely guilty until proven innocent.

In an email, Picard told the Free Thought Project about a recent DUI checkpoint conducted in the area. In New Britain, CT, 693 cars were checked, and not a single person was charged with DUI.

“No matter how small the violation of our rights, there is always a natural inclination by those in authority to push the envelope, to empower themselves,” Picard explains.

crto_zoneid = window.innerWidth>=990?206278:206279;

At the end of their conversation, this officer gets tired of the fact that his authority is being questioned; he then proves Picard’s above statement.

“You don’t have the right to question me about what we’re doing out here…Freedom of speech does not include questioning me, it doesn’t work like that,” says this Hartford officer as he ducks over to another car to violate their right to travel unmolested.

The irony here is that the 1st amendment was explicitly written to protect the act of questioning authority. This officer epitomizes what the founders had in mind when they wrote it.

And so continues the cycle of the police state. A group of individuals, created and funded by the people, refuse to be questioned by the very source of their existence. Some would call this tyranny. Unfortunately, others still hypnotized by the ostensible “security” provided by the police state, call it “heroism.”

Just a comment on the title (since I refuse to read FTP garbage)

Of course civilians are free to ask questions... even when most are stupid questions... but officers aren't bound to answer them.

Police Officially Refuse To Hire Applicants With High IQ Scores

The next time you cross paths with a law enforcement officer and wonder how anyone so stupid managed to get hired by their department, now you know that this stupidity might in fact be the very thing that qualified them for the job.

Why Smarter People Are More Likely To Be Mentally Ill

The next time you cross paths with a LEO, you can be glad that their department did not use high IQ as the sole qualifier for their job.

In my department, the absolute worst officer we had was the only officer with a Masters degree in education. After about 5 years of lazy, uneventful performances, he was made the "DWI County Coordinator. A perfect position for the tool. Then after 10 years of that wasted tax paying horseshit office job, he was made to rewrite our policies for accreditation.

During his first five years, he wrote hardly any tickets, made few arrests because he felt everyone was a victim. Zero self productivity... a slug. Now, I busted his balls for his 20 years because he was a flaming libtard. He thought only military and cops should have guns. He was for inconsolable government spending.... and after he retired, he took a job with the NYS Courts Police, guarding county court houses. Still does it to this day. (His libtard wife is one of those libtard pigs that doesn't shave her pits)... both educated MORONS.

Intelligence above average has nothing to do with good police work. Common sense above average is what departments look for. Deckard knows this FACT, but continues to indoctrinate police hate with YELLA propaganda. He owes Stone 50 more bucks.

"Multiple Harvard studies have shown that individuals with higher levels of intelligence are more prone to corruption and violence towards innocent civilians."

Deckard wants less corruption and violence towards innocent civilians, yet he wants departments to hire those who are more prone to corruption and violence towards innocent civiliians? It's gotta really suck to live in a "Deckard's World."

Multiple Harvard studies have shown that individuals with higher levels of intelligence are more prone to corruption and violence towards innocent civilians.

Deckard’s yellow journalism article in the link stems from when a 49-year old college graduate took the exam in 1996 and scored 33 points. While there is no such thing as an IQ exam for hiring, the 33 points is considered the equivalent of an IQ of 125. From what the Harvard studies have shown and backed up by other factors, the New London police interviewed only candidates who scored 20 to 27. The reason being that experience had shown them that those who scored too high get bored with police work and leave soon after undergoing costly training. A judge understood the rational explanation and evidence for this with police showing a great increase in job turnovers in those scoring very high on the test.

New London is not alone in doing this, other departments across the country are doing the same thing for the same reasons. They don’t need smart asses who think besides being a police officer they can also be a judge and apply their own interpretations to laws. It was shown that these individuals have a propensity to continually second-guess the orders and instruction given to them. Police departments need to select the best overall qualified to serve as police officers. And it has been proven, they are not the ones who score extremely high on the standardize entrance exams.

Deckard: Many have suspected it, but now it appears to be official: police departments refuse to hire applicants with high IQ scores.

The next time anyone crosses paths with a LEO, they can be glad that their department did not use high IQ as the sole qualifier for the job. They can be even more thankful that warped-minded people like Deckard have no hand in the selection.
