Way to go Potheads. Well, on second thought, it’s not really a “way” to go.

DENVER - This week, two Denver deaths were linked to marijuana use, and while some details of the deaths have yet to emerge, they are the first ones on record to be associated with a once-illegal drug that Colorado voters legalized for recreational use, as of January 1, 2014.

One man jumped to his death after consuming a large amount of marijuana contained in a cookie, and in the other case, a man allegedly shot and killed his wife after eating marijuana candy.

Rest of story here.

Poster Comment:
At least they didn't die from a marijuana overdose....so that mantra can continue for the potheads. Wait…

Could there have been extenuating circumstances that caused the one
guy to jump off of the building, and the other one to
shoot his wife?

Nah - the present is 'separate' from the past - bears no relation.

The DEMON WEED did it all! (/sarc)

How many died with alcohol in their system? Then do a comparison.

How many died with alcohol in their system?

Yup - I was about to post the same thing.
But thought it was too obvious a question .

Obvious enough for all 3 of us to think of it.

How many died with alcohol in their system? Then do a comparison.

No one should die from using either drug.

Someone using either of the two drugs, both of which reduce a person’s ability to think rationally and distort judgment....is not very smart.

And overdosing on either drug to cause their death, or the death of someone else, is downright stupid.

Doing a comparison to show that more people die from alcohol use than from marijuana use....is that rationalizing, or what?

Considering death as the end result in the misuse of either: "What difference does it make?"

What if someone jumps to his death after eating a dinner?

Or kills his wife after watching baseball game?

You know always there is something that precedes but precedence does not equal cause.

Are you claiming that being drunk and being stoned is similar? Did you try either or both?

The article is about death caused by drugs.

I'm claiming that dying as the result of using any drug is senseless.

Then someone would write an article about a person jumping to his death tied to after eating dinner.

In the second instance, someone else would write an article about a man killing his wife tied to after watching a baseball game.

This article was written about "Two Denver deaths tied to recreational marijuana use" and that is the subject under discussion here….until now.

I am sure that not all who jumped to their deaths did it on empty stomach.

I am sure that not all who killed their wives, abstained from TV before that.

Now you know.

The article is about death caused by drugs.

One was caused by jumping, second was cause by a gun or something like that. Neither was caused by drug.

Isn't the analogy you are arguing against kinda the same idiotic argument when you and your cop hating pals say "cops killed a fleeing motorist because the motorist had a brake light out, and the motorist rolls his stolen car and gets ejected and dies?

Dosnt feel good does it? lol

The article is about death caused by drugs.

There is zero evidence the deaths were a direct cause of the drugs.

You are correct, I should not have used the word: "Caused."

I should have said the article states: "Two Denver deaths were linked to marijuana use."

Thank you.

One man jumped to his death after consuming a large amount of marijuana contained in a cookie, and in the other case, a man allegedly shot and killed his wife after eating marijuana candy.

I guess the "causes" of the deaths would be jumping in the first case and a bullet in the second case.

How does that sound now?

"Duke Lacrosse team members LINKED to a rape" sound much better. Definitely they were linked.

But alcohol is different, you have countless cases of deaths caused directly by alcohol poisoning, whether acute or chronic.

Perhaps ready for another Prohibition? With all those special powers/resources granted after 9/11 to law enforcement agencies and growth of penal infrastructure the eradication of the booze might be achieved at last?

I was a multiple lines insurance agent for 42 years. I had thousands od clients. During that time I saw hundreds of potheads sitting on the other side of the desk seeking insurance. It was obvious to me they were an accident looking for a place to happen.
