BOSTON, Mass. (WPRI) A Boston pastor who worked at the Boston English High School was charged Thursday with attempted murder, after police say he shot a student who was selling him marijuana. The 17-year-old boy was shot in the back of the head Tuesday night in the Roxbury neighborhood on Magazine Street.
According to investigators, Rev. Shaun Harrison was part of an illegal drug- dealing operation involving marijuana. He reportedly may have tried to coax the victim into working for him before an argument led to the teen being shot.
The 17-year-old told police that he had been promised girls and weed before Harrison shot him execution-style, according to authorities.
The student is expected to survive.
According to the Boston Herald, the pastors son was involved in a shooting incident two years ago where his girlfriend was shot in the head.
The 55-year-old was arraigned Thursday pleading not guilty to assault with intent to murder, aggravated assault and battery and unlawful possession of a firearm.
He was ordered held on $250,000 bail.
