Two Mississippi police officers were shot dead after they were ambushed and left wounded following a routine traffic stop on Saturday night in the town of Hattiesburg. Officers Benjamin Deen, 34, and Liquori Tate, 25, were shot and their police cruiser was taken before they were discovered by a passerby. Tamika Mills heard one of the officers say, 'Am I dying? I know I'm dying. Just hand me my walkie-talkie.' Both officers were transported from the scene of the shooting to Forrest General Hospital and the county coroner confirmed their deaths. The suspects were identified as Curtis Banks and Marvin Banks and warrants were issued for their arrests. It is believed Marvin was taken into custody at the North Gate Inn during the extensive manhunt.

Can't be "payback" for racial injustice -- Officer Liquori Tate is black.

The two in the car are screwed. You murder a cop in Miss, the state is going to kill you.

No Tan Klan is coming to their rescue, either. Both murdered cops were black.

When police are not held accountable for murders and other forms of injustice, all police everywhere, including good cops, are placed in more danger from an increasingly corruption-weary public.

Are you one of those constitutional champions that claim you live and breathe constitutional rights... unless the American citizen is a cop? DUE PROCESS is afforded to all... and your dream of placing cops "in danger" is a hypocritical joke on your part. Then again, all you agenda driven cop haters here at LF are hypocritical jokes.

Your dream of danger will feed the populace to fund a more militarized police force. You will reap what you sow.

No matter what form hate takes or whatever the reason someone hides behind in their attempt to justify it, it is always hard to deal with haters. I don’t understand haters who constantly struggle with negativity, but I admit that I don’t try very hard to.

The only thing more frustrating than dealing with haters,
is watching those foolish enough to try to reason with them.

In doing so, you will no doubt find that after systematically considering all possible choices based on reason and fact, that will be a good move using the rational decision making process. After employing a series of analytical steps you have been trained to use and a careful review shows absence of relevant facts, warped observations and biased outcomes….choosing that particular course of action is not only justifiable, its commendable.

"When police are not held accountable for murders and other forms of injustice, all police everywhere, including good cops, are placed in more danger from an increasingly corruption-weary public."

So these two cops were murdered because of some perceived injustice against some people somewere in the legal system.

You might be able to make that case if they were murdered by a member of some group -- eg., the Black Panthers, the KKK, etc.

As it is, they were murdered by two run-of-the-mill, sub-human criminals who have no respect for the law or for human life. Their "social cause" was themselves.

Show me where the cop in this case has been charged with murder. I'll save you the time, he hasn't been. So my question to both you and Pinguinite remains; show me where a cop has gotten away with the charge of murder.

Vinny ask for an example to shoq “when police are not held accountable for murders.”

You jump in with your yellow journalism spam list.

A review of the first link cites the St. Louis County grand jury’s return of a “no bill” of indictment for Ferguson, Missouri for police officer Darren Wilson in his fatal shooting of … with for it … an unarmed teenager , Michael Brown. The article concludes: “The result is shocking to many, depressingly predictable to more than a few.”

So, where was the police not accountable for murder here? Wait….there was NO murder. “Hands Up – Don’t Shoot” …. LMAO!

It also means any article that Gatlin disagrees with.

If you are unhappy about the dangers of misconduct, then you should direct your ire at a better target.

It is your doctor who is FAR more likely to kill you than a cop.

It’s true: "You are 64 time more likely to be killed by your doctor than by a cop. or anyone else for that matter, wielding a gun."

Bullshit!

No Charges Against 2 Doctors In Death of Woman After Surgery,
No Charges Filed Against Michael Jackson's Other Doctors.
Criminal Charges Against Doctors Accused in the Criminal Charges Against Doctors Accused in the Deaths of Patients … Reduced …
Texas Doctors Rarely Face Charges in Prescription Abuse Cases.
Audit finds doctors’ criminal cases are underreported.
Felony charges dropped against Newport Beach doctor.
And countless more….

DANGEROUS DOCTORS ALLOWED TO KEEP PRACTICING
Thousands of doctors are able to continue practicing despite records of serious misconduct that puts patients at risk. Many of those doctors have had their clinical privileges restricted or taken away by hospitals, HMOs and other health care institutions, but their state medical boards have taken no action against their licenses to practice.

A USA TODAY investigation shows that thousands of doctors who have been banned by hospitals or other medical facilities aren't punished by the state medical boards that license doctors.

Direct your attention to find out: “How do 700,000 doctors manage to kill 783,936 people each year (that's over one death per doctor)?”

Compare that number to the number of killed by cops...cops don't kill one person per day per cop!

Nobody whines about it... all I read is all the agenda posters whining about the dangers of selling illegal drugs in their home... something about worrying about a no-knock raid, "fully armed cops" and militarized equipment. Choose another profession besides a shithouse pharmacist... maybe a burger flipper or anything with a real paycheck.

I never said I wanted cops to be in danger. I don't. But Any time any class of people are not held to the same standard of justice as another class by government sanction, the disenfranchised class takes matters into there own hands. Why would you disagree with that? This is a truism behind every popular revolution throughout history.

Such events are often a bloodbath where many innocent die, but it is still true.
