Two Mississippi police officers were shot dead after they were ambushed and left wounded following a routine traffic stop on Saturday night in the town of Hattiesburg. Officers Benjamin Deen, 34, and Liquori Tate, 25, were shot and their police cruiser was taken before they were discovered by a passerby. Tamika Mills heard one of the officers say, 'Am I dying? I know I'm dying. Just hand me my walkie-talkie.' Both officers were transported from the scene of the shooting to Forrest General Hospital and the county coroner confirmed their deaths. The suspects were identified as Curtis Banks and Marvin Banks and warrants were issued for their arrests. It is believed Marvin was taken into custody at the North Gate Inn during the extensive manhunt.

The sheep giving government more reason to militarize LE even more.
When police are not held accountable for murders and other forms of injustice, all police everywhere, including good cops, are placed in more danger from an increasingly corruption-weary public.
Are you one of those constitutional champions that claim you live and breathe constitutional rights... unless the American citizen is a cop? DUE PROCESS is afforded to all... and your dream of placing cops "in danger" is a hypocritical joke on your part. Then again, all you agenda driven cop haters here at LF are hypocritical jokes. Your dream of danger will feed the populace to fund a more militarized police force. You will reap what you sow.
No matter what form hate takes or whatever the reason someone hides behind in their attempt to justify it, it is always hard to deal with haters. I don’t understand haters who constantly struggle with negativity, but I admit that I don’t try very hard to.
Pinguinite is soon to be added to my ignore list.
In doing so, you will no doubt find that after systematically considering all possible choices based on reason and fact, that will be a good move using the rational decision making process. After employing a series of analytical steps you have been trained to use and a careful review shows absence of relevant facts, warped observations and biased outcomes….choosing that particular course of action is not only justifiable, its commendable.
