"Draw Mohammad" contest sponsored by neocon network propagandizing for war

Garland Attack: Neocon Network Baits Jihadists and Pumps Up the Clash of Civilizations Agenda

The group responsible for the Draw Muhammad event in Garland, Texas is part of a larger network of neocon organizations working behind the scenes to stoke tension between Muslims, Christians and Jews.

Daniel Pipes’ Middle East Forum (MEF) funds David Horowitz’s Freedom Center which in turn funds Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer’s American Freedom Defense Initiative.

MEF is closely linked to the Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP), where Pipes was an adjunct scholar. WINEP is a spin-off the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, one of the more influential advocacy groups in the United States dedicated to promoting Israeli policies in Washington, including confronting Iran and Arab nations opposed to Israel and its policies in regard to the Palestinians.

Additionally, MEF is linked to the American Enterprise Institute, a think tank that played an instrumental role in promoting the invasion of Iraq. Its board of trustees is a virtual who’s who of the financial and corporate elite. Former Vice President Dick Cheney, who led the propaganda charge into the lead up to invasion and its disastrous result — more than a million dead Iraqis — figures prominently on the board.

According to research conducted by The Center for Media and Democracy, MEF and other neocon groups receive funding through Donors Capital Fund, a shadowy 509(a)(3) organization that has created a “murky money maze” for the neocon and other corporate and financial class projects. “The twin Donors organizations are advertised as a way for very wealthy people and corporations to remain hidden when ‘funding sensitive or controversial issues,’ creating a lack of accountability,” writes Andy Kroll.

The MRF board of directors include a number of prominent neocons in addition to Daniel Pipes, including William Kristol, Laurent Murawiec (connected to war party corporation, RAND), Meyrav Wurmser (co-founder of the Israeli propaganda unit, MEMRI), Judith Miller (who sold lies about Iraq’s nonexistent WMDs via The New York Times) and others.

The attack in Garland that wounded a security guard in the foot will be used by neocons in the media to further portray Muslims as a threat to the national security of the United States and as a propaganda piece to inflate the war on terror.

Pam Geller has predictably used the attack by a man under surveillance by the FBI as a rallying call for war. “This is the Sharia,” she told Fox News. “This is the blasphemy laws under the Sharia. They mean to impose it… people better wake up to what’s going on and start taking back their freedom, start fighting back.”

We should wipe the Muslims from earth.

An art show seems like a good way to get acquainted. A few pics of Muhammad on the lawn might help too.

They should put mohammads pic on a pig. Then when the muslims start acting like Muslims take them out.

The Neocons like Daniel Pipes go after Muslims - secular or religious - who are threats to Israel or American power. They are con artists and sometimes shill for policies that help jihadis like supporting the overthrow of Assad in Syria.

So are you saying that you're unconcerned that in America that Mohammedans would show up at an art event heavily armed with the intent of killing the participants, but more concerned that the event was organized by neo-con warmongers?

I live near where this happened. I didn't go to it, it doesn't float my boat. But in America we're supposed to have freedom of speech.

I would think that since you seem to be so fervently libertarian in your politics, that you would support free speech as well.

The terrorists made a crucial mistake. They didn't realize that here in Texas, just about everyone and their grandma packs heat -- aside from recent immigrants from Marxist parts of the country.

So an ordinary traffic cop stopped them cold with a handgun.

They weren't stopped by the TSA, the DHS, FBI, ATF, or any of the other alphabet soup bureaucracies. They were stopped by just a low-level Texas cop with his sidearm.

If you oppose foreign wars, well in my opinion one of the best ways to avoid war is for the enemy to realize that they have no chance of ever beating us. If they see their "mujahideen" being popped and dropped by ordinary Americans before they so much as have a chance to shout "Allahu Akhbar", then that's awesome, IMHO.

Let's have more art contests, just remember to have them in states where the folks there will be ready to defend themselves instead of liberal enclaves.

The terrorists normally have the advantage in so far as they usually choose to strike where it is not expected. Events like these draw the terrorists out of the woodwork and then they can be dispatched by prepared participants. Hooray!

You make a good point. Honestly, I thought the purpose of the event was foolish, but now I see that it may have had an ulterior motive.

Thanks, and I like Hondo and his posts too.

I just think that we need to keep things in perspective.

If the neo-cons say that we need to topple Assad in Syria, I'll be the first to agree with Hondo that they are crazy and acting against America's interests.

But this was an art contest in America. If we aren't free to speak freely here in Texas, then we've already lost. If jihadis want to try to stop us from freely speaking our mind here, then they'd better be ready to see some more chalk outline artwork on our sidewalks.

There's a reason why Ron Paul won so many elections here in Texas. We get angry when the establishment tells us to sit down and shut up. And what's funny is that here in the Metroplex, all of the establishment GOP radio hosts have been continuously bleating that it was "foolish of them to provoke the Muslims".

Nope. Like I posted above, it's only "foolish" if people organize and attend events like that and aren't prepared to defend themselves. If they've prepared and the Muzzies show up -- well, in this part of Texas its popular to lay out some bait for wild hogs and then just shoot 'em when they show up on your property. If the Mohammedans want to join 'em, well so be it.

Just what is required to bait islam? In the islamic mind, failure to willingly and spontantaneously convert to even the minute intricacies of islamic psychosis is an offense against allah requiring punishment by death. There is in this a recipe for sustained enraged paranoia against the non-muslim world as an expression of righteousness.

Yes, I'm not losing any sleep worrying about Muslims or other art critics. Probably more likely to be struck by lightening, IOW not likely at all. I support free speech, and the show-goers knew that they were playing with fire, and were well prepared. I'm not poking a hornets nest, so I'm not worried.

You make a good point that all these alphabet agencies are almost never around when you need them. Airline passengers would be a lot safer if they carried guns instead of getting groped by some .gov pervs. The gov employees won't be there when needed, but the potential victims will. They'll be a lot better off armed.

Was this even discussed before the TSA and DHS was created? NO! They don't want to keep you safe, they want to control and enslave while expanding the D&R crime family power.

OK

I don't agree with you. The neo-cons are not after Assad or any other nation. They are after world re-creation based on USA tax-payer free funding to perform para-military operations around the world in the name of the US government. The problem with the US government is that *it* is out of control. The US government does not operate policy or procedures based on the will of the American People. The US government operates out of foreign intrigue. The US government errors in all attempts to justify foreign military intervention ... FACT: the US government has not won a war since WW2.

But this was an art contest in America. If we aren't free to speak freely here in Texas, then we've already lost. If jihadis want to try to stop us from freely speaking our mind here, then they'd better be ready to see some more chalk outline artwork on our sidewalks.

The issue in Tx was not about free speech. The issue was: how much it cost to assure free speech. The convention paid more than 30K for armed guards.

There's a reason why Ron Paul won so many elections here in Texas. We get angry when the establishment tells us to sit down and shut up. We agree the GOP-DEM party are historic relics for individual freedoms. They have been fascists all along and continue to place personal rights, liberties into the cesspool of elimination.

Nothing incorrect about your perspective. Just make sure you don't have small kids at events like this. As a point of view: no children were harmed at this event.

I read it was $10K for the police. They also hired some unarmed security guys like the one who was shot (who was an off-duty or retired cop from another PD).

WHO CARES who sponsored the event? The point is there was a terror attack in the heartland of America. What does the MSM do? blame the victim. Screw muslims, not only do they have no sense of humor, they are directly descended from the half baked sperm of motherless swine.

This is about Americans COWERING BEFORE ALLAH....EFF THAT.

I agree.

Let people defend themselves with their Constitutional right to bear arms. Most of the time, the government is not interested in protecting us.

I'm glad that in this particular case, that an elderly off-duty cop was interested in protecting us. I heard Michael Savage give an awesome rant on Monday. He asked where the DHS, FBI and all of the other government agencies were. He said they were probably busy trying to see if charges could be filed against the cop who stopped the terrorists.

I agree that it would be horribly irresponsible to take a child to an event like this, and in all of the coverage I did not see any young people there. I think the folks that chose to participate in this protest understood fully the risks involved, after all several of the speakers had already had murder attempts made against them in the past.

Thanks for the kind words.

Yes, today I heard some more details about the traffic cop who put the terrorists down. Thankfully, so far the media has kept his exact identity secret, I hope that they continue to do so.

But they did reveal that he's a pretty old guy, sixty years old, with 38 years in the police force.

I'll bet the kids will stay off of his lawn... ;P

Two young hoodlums with AK-47s and body armor against one old traffic cop with nerves of steel and his sidearm... they didn't stand a chance.
