Texas police officer Nathanial Robinson, 23, was fired a few months ago after video went viral of him tasing a 76-year-old man because he suspected he was driving with "expired tags."
The officer was entirely in the wrong, yet rather than double check the law he chose to tase an innocent 76-year-old man for not showing him sufficient obedience.
I said at the time the officer would probably get his job back, and now that's pretty much happened. The officer has apparently been hired by the nearby Beeville Police Department, which is only an hours drive from Victoria.
The police chief says people have nothing to worry about because Robinson will be "retrained" in their "12-week field training program."
"He doesn't just come in and go on the streets on his own."

As you know, I have a pet theory that repeater bad cops are responsible for a very disproportionate share of citizen abuse. And they migrate from one PD to another as their misdeeds catch up with them or become undeniable.

From the government's position, this is an opportunity to bring the publick case that a young officer lacked the human resources to guide him through the myriad of government legislation that he is duty bound to uphold.
If you tight, cheap taxpayers would pay more into the publick dole, that young officer would have had adequate support from HQ. But NOOOOOOO!
