It may be wrong to short-change Rubio and it is definitely a mistake to count him out. Rubio is very charismatic and he has impressed many, including some Democrats. Not only has Rubio impressed some Democrats, but more importantly....he has impressed Sheldon Adelson. You may remember Adelson spent $100 million on campaigns in 2012. Well the casino magnate is at it again and he has the money to spend. He is willing to place it on his bets. Right now he views Rubio as the future of the Republican Party. Yep, Rubio will look real “purty” (as you say) with all of that cash flowing into his campaign. Look at his latest poll numbers and you will find the numbers tell you that Rubio had a nicely executed campaign launch and that, at least initially, people are interested in buying what he's selling….the people care about his principles. What I want in a candidate, is simply a Republican who can beat Hillary….that will impress me. Rubio is starting to look like he can be the one….I will keep watching. All this in no way makes me sound like a tool. It means I am not addicted to yellow journalism articles….why are you? Shocker: Sheldon Adelson Supports Immigration Amnesty (in the U.S.) Sheldon Adelson has finally come out of the closet on immigration, declaring his support for amnesty and “immigration reform.”  We have always known that he is a pro-Israel fanatic who conditions his campaign donations on support for whatever the ethnonationalist right in Israel wants. Indeed, he is a fixture on the ethnonationalist right in Israel that is busy deporting illegal Africans back where they came from. For  example: Adelson owns an Israeli newspaper that supports PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s hard right Likud government. And there can be little question of where his loyalties lie. He has stated that he wishes he would have served in the Israeli military rather than in the US Army, and that he wants his son to grow up to “be a sniper for the IDF.” All we care about is being good Zionists, being good citizens of Israel, because even though I am not Israeli born, Israel is in my heart,” he said toward the end of his talk.
