Will she? She will. Would she? She would. It was inevitable. She did. Now where is that tingling feeling? I remember when Fritz Mondale announced that he had chosen Geraldine Ferraro as his running mate. Mind you, I knew — I'd already switched her hotel rooms around. But I still got that tingling feeling gathered in front of a television, watching our own walls tumbling down. This time, everyone knew it was coming. It wasn't some far-off dream of a handful of crazed feminists. It was Sunday, and the favorite to be the next president of the United States was just making it official. How remarkably unremarkable. But it will be truly remarkable if she wins. That's what matters here. Not having a woman run or run as a serious candidate or run in a general election. Having a woman win. And no one is in a better position to win this race than the candidate who happens to be a woman. Usually, foreign policy doesn't matter. We vote bread and butter. But those pictures of ISIS beheading sympathetic journalists are hard to forget. And Hillary Clinton probably has more real foreign-policy experience than anyone to assume the presidency before her. The real challenge of this campaign, on the Democratic side, is to find something to talk about. We've been talking about the Clintons for decades. Most Americans — I think luckily for them — have no idea what Whitewater was and no visible interest in learning. I've had to explain the "blue dress" to young people who have never heard of it and can't believe that it once commanded the world stage. We may or may not be "weary" of the Clintons, but we have been amazingly well informed for many political lives. The left will say she is not left enough. But really, the first woman president? Exactly how hard does the left come down on the former chair of Legal Services Corporation, a longstanding champion of the rights of families and children? This is the candidate who is going to be the target of a battering by the left? I don't think so. Here is what I have noticed. When I'm around elites, including elite women, they treat Hillary running as a matter of course, last night's television, the train they've been waiting for, with the only question remaining being what embassy they should aim for. These women should be muzzled. But the ladies at the lunchroom counter are not so blase. Hear any man within earshot make a negative comment about a woman, almost any woman, and you're bound to hear, somewhere, just under her breath, a woman smirking, "Just you wait for Hillary." "Just you watch, Bozo," the cashier muttered with satisfaction, and I was right there muttering with her. This time. Maybe we've traded the tingle for the smirk, but there sure are more of us. Let the pundits debate whether Hillary needs to push the "woman button" harder than she did last time (every question will be framed that way), because I'm not sure it matters. It seems to me that the button is being pushed by a new generation of women, and for most of them, it's a brand-new game.

Yep - what an opportunity to finally get past most of the race issues that have served as a black-eye to this nation was squandered by the first (half) black president. Instead he (and his sidekick, Holder) have taken about every opportunity to throw gasoline on the smoldering fire. So it's clear that electing the first testosterone challenged president will have similar healing effects, right? No, the Ruling Class masters that Zero, the Xlintons, the Bushes and all the rest answer to have no interest in healing. Rather, keeping the masses and the rubes divided and at each others throats advances its goals of perpetuating its power and complete control over us. And most of us - sadly - just play along.

These Bushbot clone, neocons are so over! She wouldn't stand up to her husband, yet she'll stand up to ISIS? Hah! I see in Hillary a very aggressive personality. She "took it" because that was the price to be paid for remaining in the position she was. She wants the presidency badly and she thinks she actually deserves it. Hillary is most likely to start WW3 than any other candidate. And yes, she can. The whole US presidential election system is a massive disaster. Nothing really changes when presidents change (Obama beat McCain because the public was war-weary and look what it got them) and it's hard to imagine things getting a lot worse with any one person, but with her, I'd make an exception. Putin would make a far safer and saner US president than anyone likely to win the seat.
She's made it with that many foreign lesbians? Who knew..

I agree. Putin would make a far safer and saner US president than anyone likely to win the seat. Sad,but true. At least he is a nationalist instead of an internationalist. Just look at how the world has turned upside down. Now we have a nationalist in charge in Russia,and everywhere else it is internationalist/globalists in charge. Remember Goober Gore saying "Whuts spossed ta be up iz doawn,n whuts spossed ta be doawn iz up!"? Maybe Goober is more of a visionary than an idiot? Naw,just the old "stopped clock is right twice a day" thing at work.

Truth be told, the country remembers Clinton as having been good at managing the economy. And the economy is looking stronger and stronger under Obama: gas is cheap and the dollar is strong. People remember the last Republican President as a disaster who made a train wreck out of the economy AND the war. Republicans are going to have a hard time defeating Clinton.

A military patriot is a Nazi, except for the gas chamber business. But that's everything. And it's not just abortion. Abortion is murder. Euthanasia is murder. Gay marriage is not marriage and should not be called that; nor should it receive tax subsidies; nor should people be oppressed for refusing to recognize gay marriage as a thing. Democrats have their own form of crony capitalism, and their own classism and elitism. I'm not even close to being a Democrat. I believe that things should be FAIR, just like Jesus demanded. And that the laws should be structured in a way to achieve what Jesus demanded. That's not Democrat or Republican. It's Catholic. I won't be voting for Hillary. She's a babykiller. But Republicans are whistling past the graveyard if they think the country is going to accept their crappy form of economics. And the GOP blew its foreign policy and military credibility during the 8 years of Bush. So, you've got a party of crony capitalism and rank incompetence at everything they ever touch - that's the Republicans, versus a party that has a better economic track record, but that kills babies. That ain't the view of a Democrat.
