Checking FreeRepublic.com freedomunderground | 24 Nov 2007 | buckeroo I was bored this evening.
So, I took a stroll over to FR this evening; a very rare occasion. And I was totally mesmerized by Jim Robinson's FR Memorial Wall. I was blown away that many of those same posters that I used know and created casual discussion have passed away. I can not reasonably convey the grief I feel having visited the FR Memorial Wall.
Its been almost ten years since I joined FR and kicked off in 2001 because I didn't like the hypocrisy of FR, not just the management but also the direction of discussion which was not about grass-roots conservatism, although FR started out that way. I suppose you could say that FR management didn't like me much either .... it was a win-win situation to forever ban me.
But I am really choked upped about the FR Memorial this evening. I never realized that so many Internet friends have died over time. I am astounded by my own ignorance of not keeping in touch. And I dug into some of threads about my dead friends. Astounding personal emotion was felt about our own demise after checking that page.
JHoffa_ helped create that link and added some of the content. Man, how did you do it without your eyes swelling up in a torrent of tears? I can not tell you how my respect for you grew by magnitudes of order this evening.
You are the best, pal!

FReepers are best when dead, but that said, I was especially touched by Bucky's Jackie Gleason-like ending, You are the best, pal! It so reminded me of Gleason's, "Bang, zoom, straight to the moon, Alice!"
That Bucky....he's special........drunk or sober......
PS: Stone. Make -MUD- stop his dopey song parodies. They are a forum killer.
