An ESPN personality made news for the wrong reasons Thursday after an expletive-laden video of her berating a towing company employee went viral. Reporter Britt McHenry, who was suspended for a week by the network, was seen in the accompanying video lashing out at the employee while attempting to retrieve her car from an impound lot in Virginia. McHenry can be seen telling the attendant "I'm in the news sweetheart, I will (expletive) sue this place" and took a shot at the woman's appearance, adding "I'm on television and you're in a (expletive) trailer, honey. Lose some weight." ESPN later said "We are aware of a recent exchange between Britt McHenry and a towing company employee. We are now reviewing the matter with her." The network then announced the suspension hours later. McHenry issued the following apology on Twitter: "In an intense and stressful moment, I allowed my emotions to get the best of me and said some insulting and regrettable things. As frustrated as I was, I should always choose to be respectful and take the high road. I am so sorry for my actions and will learn from this mistake." McHenry joined ESPN in March 2014 as a Washington, D.C.-based reporter. The former collegiate soccer player previously worked at a pair of TV stations in D.C.

I watched the video yesterday. I'll hold my tongue and just say that she's a snippy witch. I despise ESPN in general and this is just topping on the cake. No, I don't receive or watch their signal at home.
