Since leaving New Mexico, I ahve been stopped by the State Police twice, both for very frivolous reasons.
The first stop was in Kentucky on I-71, I was stopped for not having my seat belt on, I showed him my letter from the VA, signed by a doctor, explaining why I could not wear a seat belt. No ticket, have a nice day and I was off.
The second was entering Ohio on I-70, this was for a cracked windshield, This time I had to show all of my papers and wait while he checked them.
Both times the trooper was polite, courteous and professional, but so was I. The ting is, neither stop was for anything serious enough to be pulled over for.

That IS the "thing," isn't it?
So instead of stopping real crime and addressing real moving violations, the revenue-scamming state po-po were wasting time on YOU. Were you sporting a nice tan, Bob? Maybe they were "profiling" you.
