DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines County District Attorney’s Office has decided not to file charges against a police officer who shot and killed an innocent, unarmed woman at her home. Autumn Steele, 34, of Burlington, Iowa, was shot and killed by Officer Jesse Hill the morning after a domestic dispute with her husband. The officer came to the house to “supervise” the situation as she and her husband, Gabriel Steele, prepared to part ways. Neither husband or wife were armed. Court records show Autumn Steele was arrested the night before with a charge of domestic abuse. Steele was released from jail and informed that she could only return home with a police officer present to retrieve her belongings. Steele returned home with Officer Jesse Hill, the man who would moments later shoot at her dog and miss, killing her instead. Reports show Gabriel Steele was putting the couple’s 4-year-old son into their vehicle when he and Autumn Steele began arguing. The couple’s dog came from inside the house and started barking. Witnesses at the scene reported that the dog was not acting aggressively, but Officer Jesse Hill chose to escalate the situation by shooting at the dog. The officer could not maintain his balance as he fired his weapon repeatedly, but continued firing even after he fell onto the ground. The officer missed the dog, but one shot fired by the officer while he was on the ground struck Autumn Steele in the chest. She was eventually taken to the Great River Medical Center where she died from her injuries. Officer Hill was immediately placed on paid administrative leave following the killing. It is not yet known whether the officer will return to work following the District Attorney’s decision to file no charges against him. A video of the report is available below:

Biff is wrong. That's because he's a total idiot. People really wouldn't believe these things happen every day in this country if you didn't post these articles. You couldn't make up such stories of police run amok and the prosecutors that let them literally get away with murder. Sounds like the husband has won the divorce and child custody sweepstakes to me.

Hill advised the Steeles to get the dog. 4. Neither Steele restrained the dog. 5. The dog attacked Hill and bit him on his thigh. 6. The dog caused Hill to fall backwards, and he ultimately fell into the snow. This caused him to fire a second shot. 7. "This was a physical domestic assault situation in which witnesses observed Autumn Steele punching, hitting and slapping Gabriel Steele." 8. Hill responded alone to a volatile situation. 9. This was the second call abut a domestic assault involving the Steeles in two days. 10. Autumn Steele was at the residence in violation of a no-contact order issued that morning before she was released from jail. 11. The neighbor told the DCI once he saw the dog, "he thought it was going to be a mess." 12. Hill responded to a vicious animal complaint three months earlier in which he deployed his Taser. Yeah - a totally unbiased source, I'm sure. The fact remains - due to the deliberate actions of this "officer", a woman is dead. Why? Because he was a cowardly POS. Look at it this way - if it were you or I who had done this, do you think that either one of us would have gotten off scot free?

People don’t realize what really happens in these cases because Deckard’s yellow journalism articles never post the complete story….they always spin and omit facts to make the cops look bad. 1. The dog attacked Hill.
