A Houston police officer once awarded cop of the year led a double life as a cocaine trafficker for the Los Zetas Mexican cartel, a court case claims.
Noe Juarez, was arrested Tuesday at his own police station by FBI, DEA and HPD officers and has been indicted on federal charges conspiracy to distribute five or more kilos of cocaine.
The charges were outlined in court documents, which state that Juarez conspired with Sergio Grimaldo, the brother of convicted cartel boss Efrain Grimaldo, to distribute cocaine in southeastern Louisiana from 2012 onwards.
The officer, once formally recognized by the city for outstanding community work, was also indicted on a charge of conspiracy to possess firearms connected with a drug trafficking offense.
A spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorneys Office in Louisiana confirmed the details in an email response to The NY Daily News.
If found guilty, Juarez could serve a life sentence and receive a $10 million fine. He is scheduled for a bail hearing on Monday.
Details are scant at the moment, but police sources have told local reporters that Juarez was escorting large shipments of drugs across state borders at the behest of the Grimaldos.
As a member of the Los Zetas cartel, one of the most notorious criminal enterprises in Mexico or the United States, Grimaldo endangered the lives of innocent people on both sides of the border, U.S. Attorney Kenneth Polite said after Efrain Grimaldo was sentenced to 33 years in prison in 2014.
Juarezs defense attorney George Murphy claimed that the charges are flimsy.
All theyre doing is saying hes done these things, and they havent put any meat on the bones, he said, adding This is the most bare-boned indictment Ive seen in a long time.
The Zetas cartel is notorious for shipping drugs into the United States, and has been described by the Mexican Defense Ministry as the most formidable death squad in the country.
As InfoWars reported years ago, former DEA agent Cele Castillo has blown the whistle on how the US government controls the Zetas drug smuggling gang and uses it as the front group for their narco-empire.
With the gang having first been trained at the infamous School of the Americas in Fort Benning, Georgia, Castillo affirms that Los Zetas are still working for the US government in protecting drug routes to keep the wheels of Wall Street well-oiled. Castillo has gone on the record to state that the commandos are working directly for the US government drug cartel in carrying out hits on rival drug smugglers who arent paying their cut.
Numerous drug bosses and American and Mexican officials have made similar claims, alleging that the U.S. government via the CIA in essence controls at least some of the cartels.
It is also alleged by captured members of the gang, that the Zetas bought guns directly from the U.S. government under its Operation Fast and Furious, and planned to overthrow the Mexican government.
In this context officer Noe Juarez, if found guilty, is a small fry hired gun. He will be put away in prison for the rest of his life while the real criminals in the US government continue unabated their operation of flooding the country with narcotics.
