To: Jameson (#1) He won't attract the bulk of the traditional Republican electorate ,and he won't be able to cobble a new coaliton. His father was never able to go beyond a fringe candidate and that will be the fate of his 'legacy candidate ' son. As he has tried to put distance between himself and his old man ,he has weakened his support from his own base . Last election he supported Mitch McConnell in a primary against a tea party candidate . That may have been a pragmatic move that serves his position as a Senator; but it proved that he is willing to compromise his principles when it's expedient . What he can do well and clearly spell out the issues about Obamacare and to lay out an alternative . But I do not trust his foreign policy instincts .
