Title: Neil deGrasse Tyson: Scientology Is No Different than Judaism, Christianity

Neil deGrasse Tyson is defending Scientology.

The famed astrophysicist and host of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey told The Daily Beast,

"So, you have people who are certain that a man in a robe transforms a cracker into the literal body of Jesus saying that what goes on in Scientology is crazy?"

Tyson was asked about Scientology in connection to the new HBO documentary Going Clear. Tyson said he hadn't yet seen the film, but still opened up about his feelings on the religion.

"Let’s realize this," Tyson continued. "What matters is not who says who’s crazy, what matters is we live in a free country ... If we start controlling what people think and why they think it, we have case studies where that became the norm. I don’t care what the tenets are of Scientology. They don’t distract me. I don’t judge them, and I don’t criticize them."

Tyson also questioned the argument that Scientology shouldn't be granted tax-exempt status like other religions. "But why aren’t they a religion?" he asked.

"If you attend a Seder, there’s an empty chair sitting right there and the door is unlocked because Elijah might walk in. OK. These are educated people who do this. Now, some will say it’s ritual, some will say it could literally happen. But religions, if you analyze them, who is to say that one religion is rational and another isn’t?"

"It looks like the older those thoughts have been around, the likelier it is to be declared a religion," Tyson added. "If you’ve been around 1,000 years you’re a religion, and if you’ve been around 100 years, you’re a cult."

AA hire strikes again!

Maybe he is not aware the 'religion' started as a bar bet?

The show going clear is good, the panorama show done by BBC is very good too. The hatred for Christianity is so strong with so many. Sigh.....

I watched the series of programs he was hosting. "All life evolved not from primates, but from trees, from amoebas, from nothing but blah blah blah blah blah blah. The series was gorgeously filmed, and hilarious at times. Tyson is a prime example of the fact that you can educate a man, but wisdom is a force within. Without it, you are incapable of the greatest of all discoveries, that we CANNOT know. The wisdom to say to yourself and others, WE DON'T KNOW, but isn't life incredible? Instead, life is a chemical action. A random collection of cells that somehow is bound together, then became self aware with no guidance. A creation, without a creator. Now THAT is incredible.

Neil deGrasse Tyson is an American astrophysicist, cosmologist, author, and science communicator. Like Stephen King and barak hussien obama, he is anti Christ, anti Christian and, unless he changes, damned.

Neil deGrasse Tyson: Scientology Is No Different than Judaism, Christianity

Of course Neil deGrasse Tyson is wrong.

"“Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said." (Matthew 28:5,6)

Of course the Seder was (and still is) a type. Most of which was fulfilled in Jesus Christ's first advent, and the final 'cup' of the Seder will be literally fulfilled in Christ's second advent.

"“Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said." (Matthew 28:5,6)

He is also flawed with the above comment.

Sacrificing animals (and humans) to pagan gods made of wood, stone, gold and silver is older than the Hebrew and Christian faiths.

So those pagan religions are still false and cults.

"“Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said." (Matthew 28:5,6)
