That is spooky, to say the least. If true.

Hoax video. Sun position is not right. Plane flew north-by-northeast and crashed at 10:40am. This isn't the only hoax video. There's a Greek one and another reported by German magazine Bild and French magazine Paris Match. All have been denounced as hoaxes by French investigators. They won't even play the black box audio. They certainly wouldn't play such a video in public if they had it.
Yes, it is a hoax. Pretty tasteless to do such a thing and maybe I wasn't too bright in clicking on it. Remember the WTC guy?
The airline company is calling it a hoax, and I believe it is.... but the morning news interviewed some tool, with credentials, to state that his professional opinion was that it was real. Drama sells.

Just out of curiosity...do those smart phones have those cloud things, where everything is captured by corporate big brother? Would it be possible that a surviving spouse (or whomever) could have access to it after the crash? Like I said I'm just curious.

Not even for a text message, let alone a photo, let alone a video. And they haven't even handed the families a baggie of remains to bury so I kinda doubt they're handing back any cellphones.
Okay, thanks for the reply. I was trying to think of the realm of possibilities.
Thinking again, it is possible a text message might get through at 550kph because any tower lock for even a few seconds would be enough. But not a photo, certainly not a video. And these were mountains with little villages, not a place where there would be many cell towers to begin with. That sort of scenario will be possible in the next few years as the airlines start providing free wi-fi service in big planes.
