Hey, where the hell is Susan Rice these days? We want to ask her if she still thinks Bowe Bergdahl "served with honor and distinction." She and her boss, "Mr. Slick," wouldn't know "honor" or "distinction" if it bit them on the ass.
Well, at least Hussein didn't succeed in getting the punk labeled a POW. That would have doubled his back-pay and give him bennies he most certainly does not deserve.
ENORMOUS PRESSURE ON PENTAGON
We take our hat off to the Army leadership for refusing to cave in to enormous pressure. After all, Obama needed to take the stink off his lousy trade of five Taliban killers for a sorry-ass so- called "sergeant." And for a while, it appeared his butt-boys in the Pentagon might bail him out.
But in the end, it was too heavy a lift.
If Bergdahl was rewarded for desertion, how long do you think it would be before some other dirt-bag would pull the same stunt and cite Bowe as a precedent?
MAY NOT GO TO COURT-MARTIAL
There will be an Article 32 preliminary hearing, but odds are that Bergdahl's lawyer, high-octane Eugene Fidell, will have him plea bargain a deal along the lines of he forfeits back-pay and allowances, plus get busted back to private and kicked out of the Army in exchange for no time behind bars.
Then Bowe will be free to cut a book or TV deal. Big bucks all around.
BAM sure doesn't want a court-martial. What could the New York TIMES and his cheerleaders on MSNBC say then? There's no putting lipstick on that pig.
