Washington (CNN)As Rand Paul presided over the Senate floor Wednesday morning, Democratic Leader Harry Reid took a few moments to thank the Kentucky Republican and ophthalmologist for helping him with an eye injury. Reid, who now wears special dark glasses, said Paul has "has been so kind and thoughtful and considerate and visiting with me, giving me encouragement and some expert advice as to what he's seen in the past and giving me hope for better sight out of my right eye." Reid suffered a concussion and broke several ribs and bones in his face during an exercising accident on New Year's Day, resulting in severe limitation of sight out of his right eye. "I really appreciate it very, very much. I want the people of Kentucky to know how thoughtful and considerate and kind you've been to me over these months," he said.

Thanks, but in your clip he doesn't mention Randy Paul, hondolt.
It's true that Reid didn't say Rand's name, but how many ophthalmologist senators from Kentucky are there? There are only two senators per State, and Mitch McConnell is a Kentucky senator, so who's left?
I've always wondered who does his hair.
Rand is a sweet doctor, just like his dad was. And Reid probably does (and should) appreciate the day-to-day attention from Rand in his Senate office. An eye injury is distressing to anyone.
I read he cuts his own hair in the shower and did so for many years. Maybe his wife finally broke him of his cheap-ass habit but I haven't seen any improvement in his coif. OTOH, his hair is so curly that I'm not sure I could tell if he started going to the Capitol barbers or not. Nice innuendo.
In the video, Reid almost choked up a little toward the end of his remarks. No surprise. Eye injury scares everyone and people never appreciate their eyes so much as when they have an injury like that.
It's the saddest story since Hillary fell off of the bar stool, and was unable to testify about Benghazi. They should both just admit that they were blackout drinking, and can't remember what happened to them.
Don't discount pete's theory that Reid got beaten by a male prostitute just yet. : )
