10 US Charity Staff to be Brought Back from Sierra Leone Due to Ebola10 US charity staff to be brought back from Sierra Leone due to Ebola The ghost of Ebola is still alive. At least ten support staff of a Boston-based nonprofit organisation are going to be evacuated from Sierra Leone. This is out of precaution after at least one fellow clinicians was reported to have infected with Ebola.
The NGO that has been recognized as Partners in Health released a statement claiming that at least 10 clinicians associated with it are set to be transported on non-commercial. The NGO further said in the statement that all the ten of them will be quarantined in Ebola treatment facilities.
Thus far there are no signs that the clinicians have been infected with Ebola, the NGO further added in the press release.
Out of an abundance of caution, these people are being evacuated, the statement said.
This is the biggest contingent of Americans being recalled for the fear of being infected with Ebola. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention earlier had not specified how many Americans would be coming back from Sierra Leone. In the meantime there are reports that the University of Nebraska Medical Center officials have made it clear that theyd be monitoring at least four such people.
