As Islamic State-driven violence rages on in Iraq, people are using any means possible to escape, and for some that means dressing in drag. On Monday, the Iraqi army arrested 20 male Islamic State members dressed as women in the northern city of Baquba, according to spokesman Ghalib al-Jubouri.
The arrested used a number of creative ways to pull off a realistic female disguise, as seen in the pictures originally posted on Instagram.
Underneath the robes and veils, the men put on makeup, wore dresses and some even wore women's bras. Others chose not to shave their facial hair, though still applied eyeliner, eyeshadow and blush.
The men were desperately attempting to flee the fighting in Tikrit, which Iraq's military only managed to take back from Islamic State six days ago.
It is unclear what will be the fate of the Islamic State members now that they are in police custody.

Yes, because it means the story is BS. I am hearing the Iraqis are having a hard time clearing out Tikrit. In war self serving propaganda designed to make you feel good is dangerous. The Germans thought they were one battle away from winning up until the Red Army showed up in Berlin and made Hitler eat a bullet.

Fortunately they're not our prisoners or there'd be a bunch of nonsense about their human rights. This is why it is much better to let the natives handle things their way.
Thus far, Iraq is handling its ISIS prisoners about like ISIS handled theirs.
That seems fair. How many Isis cowards were beheaded?
I was overstating. The Shi'a militias and some Iraqi army units have been reported to take harsh reprisals on Sunnis in towns they are recapturing, rounding up and shooting hundreds of civilians. But no beheadings, immolations, mass rapes, slaving, or forced conversions are reported so far.
