Title: National Front Set To Be Biggest Party In France As Polls Put Them On 29 Percent

Having topped the polls in last year’s European Election, Marine Le Pen’s National Front is set to become the biggest party in France with the French Prime Minister accusing the party of wanting to “kidnap France” at this month’s regional elections.

The latest polling data, which comes after it was revealed French Jews are increasingly turning to the right wing party, puts the National Front on 29 per cent, four points clear of the opposition UMP and creating a significant gap between them and the socialists on 21 per cent, The Local reports.

The country votes on March 22nd and 29th to elect representatives in each of the country’s 101 counties.

Nonna Mayer, a political scientist from Sciences Po said the party “are on the rise.”

“In the last presidential election Le Pen got 18 percent of the vote, they got 25 percent in the Euro elections and now they could get as much as between 30 and 33 percent of the vote in the départemental elections.”

And she said even though it was for local, rather than national elections, the results are “vital” for the charismatic leader who has moved the party away from the anti-Semitic line her father took. For her party to have elected representation “gives the party much more credibility and visibility,” says Mayer.

“She knows if you want to succeed in politics, it’s not only about the leadership, but you need a party behind it. That means the presence of the National Front in all layers of democracy in France.

“It’s a long term strategy. They have been attracting new activists since 2011, including more young people and women,” she said.

In May last year the party secured 24 MEPs in the European Parliament, although they sit in the Non Attached group making it more difficult for them to have access to information and structure which other multi national groups benefit from. UKIP leader Nigel Farage refused to align himself with the party, although some people say that decision was more based on the reaction from the UK media since his current group, the EFDD, does not have any other French members.

But like the UKIP leader, Marine Le Pen has a struggle to convince voters and commentators alike that the party is not just about her – the respectable, polished figurehead. They have been hindered by disreputable candidates and still carry the mill stone of Jean-Marie and his distasteful views on Jews as well as being seen as a Vichy supporter.

Mme Mayer said the party is “trying to convince new activists to be candidates” as they will want to have representation across the country. “But,” she added, “some of them are not really appropriate.”

“Le Pen needs to show they are not racist or anti-Semitic but some of these candidates are not, shall we say, respectable,” she added.

That doesn't mean the Jews are waking up and rejecting socialism. Tribal people are all socialists.

What it means is they are afraid of the Muslims.

What it means is they are afraid of the Muslims.

They see the demographics of a hostile minority outbreeding them.

I'm not sure the Hebdo thing really changes France. They march and protest but still don't want to face the rising internal threat, still confident that God loves France.

Yup. Self-defense is a wonderful tool for sorting through the leftist nonsense about affirmative action and special privileges for minorities, and seeing things clearly.

Most of the Jews in America can't or won't see this in America because they don't give a damn about America. They only wake up and get outraged when it threatens Israel.

Public policy change and public mindsets don't happen all at once like a sunrise. They happen step by step over a period of time.

Israel is not very popular with American Jews.

It is Republicans and particularly evangelicals who support Israel most fiercely.

In the boycott of Bibi's speech, 30 members boycotted. I read that 7 were liberal Jewish congresscritters.

The Dems, including many Jewish pols, are dumping Israel. You notice how Bibi kept insisting that Israel is not a partisan issue. Well, it has become partisan and it will only get more that way.

Also, the younger evangelicals do not poll anywhere near the high-level of their parents on support for Israel. They consider the Palis to have some claim or equal claim to the disputed areas. The Palis are slowly winning and this is becoming evident now and will only become more stark in coming elections.

None of this has anything to do with France and its upcoming elections.

That's not what I keep hearing.

That is what you would think if you only listened to DNC talking points and the media, but it just ain't true.

What IS true is there are more Christians in America that are rabid Zionists than there are Jews, but the American politicians in both branches of the ruling party are little better than crack whores, and are for sale to anyone with the asking price.

More like Likud is not popular with American Jews. They are not that popular in Israel but can win elections based on their voting system there where they can do coalitions with the ultra Orthodox and ultra settler groups.

More like Likud is not popular with most American Jews.

Republicans are also not popular with American Jews. Except Sheldon Adelson ($36 billion) and his RJC tycoon buddies who are an American Likud money machine.

I think their outright political power is in decline and legislators, especially Dims, no longer fear them as they once did. But they still have plenty of money and no restrictions on how much they toss into political races.

Money is speech, according to the Nine Dictators.

IMHO,that is because they are no longer the "Power Majority" within the Dim Party. They were the dedicated leftists that brought all this crap down on us,but now the blacks and His and Her Panics are organized and control their own voters and voting blocks.

Individual Jews can buy all the congresscritters and senators they can afford to buy for specific money-making projects, but not so much for Jews in general where something political may conflict with something the "bigger minorities" might be against.

Lets face it,most blacks hate Jews and the typical politician will take orders from anybody that has the cash to keep him in luxury or the votes to keep him in power. There is no low so low they won't "go there".

I think average Jews in America are liberal Dims with all the same issue preferences as other liberal Dims. Except they kinda sniff at the backwardness of those stupid Gentiles (except the ones who vote with them).

They do get taken aback, as Dershowitz and others have found, at just how vehemently the Left hates Israel.

I recall some pro-Pali/anti-Israel rallies where some liberal Jews showed up to protest Israel and they got abused and expelled just for being Jewish. That opened a few eyes among the Jewish Left but not enough for them to turn on the other Lefties overall.
