Bibi is definitely on a major offensive in the States.

I wouldn't be surprised if it sweeps him to re-election. With Barky sending his own election crew to try to defeat Bibi in the upcoming election, this political battle royale between Bibi and Barry is assuming epic proportions.

And it reduces to Barry to a mere onlooker whose policies are getting pounded as incompetent and short-sighted. Which they are. Can you imagine how he must be seething inside? LOL.

Or it may cost him the election in Israel - lot's of Israelis seem fed up with his incompetance and his 'the end is nigh' shtick.

However unpopular Bibi is, Obama is more distrusted and disliked.

I think Bibi knows how to ride that voter sentiment to re-election.

We'll see. But there is no doubt this is a part of his campaign.

What leads you to believe that "his 'the end is nigh' shtick", is anything but a realistic assessment of the future in the middle east?

Do you really believe that an Obama type policy can lead to peace in that region?

Yeah but you wouldn't impress any professional pol or campaign pro with that.

They'd tell you the entire point of an election is to be divisive, that that is the virtue of holding an election, not a defect of democracy.

IOW, divisiveness is a feature not a bug.

Suddenly, Israel is the weakest armed power in the region? And let us say for the sake of argument the end is really nigh for Israel. The USA has zero treaty obligations to defend Israel (I know that is hard to believe but it is true). Why is Israel more special than say Cyprus?

Who claimed that? --- It's pretty obvious you won't/can't answer the questions above, so you're digressing.

I don't think Israel is "special" and your digressions aren't working.

Do you really believe that Obama type policies can lead to peace in the middle east?

Israel won't allow there to be peace in the ME. If Bibi wants a war, let him put jewish boots on the ground. We don't need to sacrifice any more american lives for israel.

Israel won't allow there to be peace in the ME.

With a nuke, an Iranian war would not be wanted by Israel.

If Bibi wants a war, let him put jewish boots on the ground.

See above. It wouldn't be a ground war.

We don't need to sacrifice any more american lives for israel.

Get a grip, Logsplitter, a nuclear war ANYwhere will end up costing American lives.

That's the solution. -- We make Iran our 51st state, and give 'em all jobs building nukes for us.. Sheer brilliance...

They are not Muslims.

Why should israel be the only ME country allowed to have nukes?

Maybe because Israel is the only nation in the region that faces real, actionable threats to its existence by virtual all of the other nations in the region. Maybe because it is the only nation that continues to receive incoming from some of its neighbors. Maybe because its nukes are a real deterrent to escalted hostilities.
