But if the word of God is the foundation of moral law, as it was for those who crafted the Constitution, then sexual anarchy will be contained.

As far I can tell, Jefferson was more of a Unitarian deist, or an American Infidel -- than he was a Christian. What moral code did he and his fellow Architects of the Virginia Act have in mind?
I would say ... religious liberty - separation of church from state --- we are experiencing a coup d' etat - evolution - tyranny - intellectual holocaust by neocoms - liberals ! I'm starting to think Israel will save us !

Jefferson certainly espoused that - but I don't see his "MORAL CODE" being derived from any temporal religious concoction. Does water still freeze into ice at 32 degrees F?
