The (offline) Intel Atom 1 (Foxconn 330) has been working just fine - but the keyboard sizzled. With a new keyboard it is working just fine. But hey - a new machine is needed. I've bought only one AMD (an old Athlon) in my life. (years ago.) Worked great. Until it no longer did (at all). And the very ancient Celeron D (on which I'm posting this) is a trooper - and still working at this moment. So I'm contemplating a 3Ghz-and-up AMD - for low bucks. Anybody got any ideas? On reputable mail-oder places - not just machines. Eh? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated! To: Chuck_Wagon (#0) I've been buying from Dell online for the longest time and haven't had any issues with computers. Did have a few issues with monitors but they were the old "tube type" monitors which Dell replaced with no hassle. Am posting this from an XP machine. I usually don't buy a monitor with the computer cause I can always find a better deal somewhere else. And I always buy keyboards and mice separately - not because of price - but because I want what I want. The standard Logitech infra-red 3 button wheel mouse and the Logitech K120 keyboard. Always.
