America’s political system is heavily influenced by money, everyone knows that. In fact, the argument can be made that the US has become an oligarchy. People say follow the money, and in politics it can lead you to the agenda which politicians will carry out once elected. President Obama’s top donor in 2008 was Goldman Sachs, in 2009 he bailed out Wall Street. Dick Cheney had blatant financial ties with oil giant Halliburton, they made $39.5 billion in revenue from the war in Iraq that Cheney tricked us into. So where are Hillary’s ties? Here is a screen shot that displays Hillary Clinton’s top campaign donors since 1989: Does this surprise you? The most open supporters of Clinton are among the utmost notorious, corrupt, and hated American corporations. By corrupt, I mean influential in the creation and enforcement of law for their own benefit. As the Free Beacon noted, “Goldman Sachs, for example, ranks dead last for reputation, and is the second largest corporate donor to Hillary Clinton. Her top corporate donor, Citigroup, ranks 89th out of 100. Her fourth largest donor, JP Morgan Chase, came in 87th. Other Clinton donors making the list of companies held in poor esteem by the public include Time Warner (85/100) and 21st Century Fox (65/100). Collectively these companies have given more than $2.8 million to Clinton’s campaigns.” Also to note is Rupert Murdoch’s 21st Century Fox, the parent company of Fox News, which has donated a total of over $300,000 to Hillary Clinton. Looking for proof that war mongers don’t care what party you are affiliated with as long as the bombs keep dropping? Look no further. Hillary and the Democrats are obviously not alone in their dealings with corporate America; both parties are bought and paid for. In 2008 Goldman Sachs was Obama’s top fundraiser, in 2012 they were Romney’s. Likely presidential Candidate Jeb Bush is no different. He will be inheriting Romney’s big donors, guaranteed to also have ties to corrupt corporations. 
What America needs after eight agonizing years of a petulant, small-minded parasite is yet another parasite.

Eight? How many years has it been since Nixon wafted off the lawn of the White Hut? I think I'll start counting from there. He was the last social conservative to be elected into residence there.
Goldman-Sachs donates to both sides. So do most of the others. I'm not defending Hillary, just pointing out that the banksters win whoever gets (s)elected.
Nixon was in no way a social conservative. Nor was it something that conformed to his personality.
Check out the new "Defense" secretary Ashton Baldwin Carter Heartwarming, isn't it. Treasury then "Defense".
What did Nixon do that personally demonstrated social liberality/progressiveness?
He did appoint the two justices who took the point on Roe v. Wade among other things.
Judges have their own minds. What did Nixon do PERSONALLY that wasn't consistent with his Quaker history? Nixon was a Boy Scout compared to any of the last three frat clowns in the oval office.
You mean other than the lying, criminality, and especially his warmongering in Vietnam and elsewhere? Not to mention that Nixon, contrary to Quaker tradition of refusing military service and having an automatic exemption, still enlisted in the Navy. Not Quakerish at all. A book review of a Nixon bio that highlights some of these issues. I never get why some people are always trying to whitewash Nixon and claim he was things that he was not. Nixon and Ford and Rockefeller were all old-line northeastern liberal Republicans. Ronald Reagan and his conservatives were always at war with the Yankee scum.
Nah, it's just that of all the president's whose administrations I've lived though, he seems to be the most socially conservative. Not perfect. But the guy was faithful to his wife, wasn't a drunk, and tried to do what was best for Americans in the context of the Cluster Frack he inherited from Johnson and Kennedy. Nixon ended the war in Vietnam, cooled the Cold-war with Apollo-Soyuz, and helped establish relations with China after he left office.
They're all awful. A record of miserable petty tyrants like nearly all who have held the office. The job seems to attract scumbags. More likely, the federal apparatus and politics of the two party elites corrupts them. The last president that was restrained in his conduct of the office was Ike. Yet he did foolishly keep a corrupt campaign promise and appointed Earl Warren as chief justice. He regretted it and later admitted it was probably his greatest mistake. Well, that and choosing Nixon as his VP.
I remember Ike's photo was still on the wall of the office in my elementary school circa 1966. But unfortunately I wasn't born yet when his term ended. So, Nixon is the presidential pinnacle of my lifetime. Which is admittedly sad. Still, I've found things to admire - like his "Structure of Peace".
