WHO HAD MOTIVE TO KILL HIM? - WAS IT CHEATING WIFE LARA OR "LOVER BOY" CAPT JOHN NETTLETON? © 2015 MilitaryCorruption.com NAVY CAPT JOHN NETTLETON (relieved of command) --Many of you have been asking us for more details on the possible murder of an American civilian PX worker at GITMO whose dead body was found floating in the bay at Guantanamo, Cuba. The NCIS have stonewalled all media requests for further details, even a full month after Christopher Tur's suspicious death. Why the secrecy, and why hasn't there been charges filed? Is this yet another Pentagon cover-up? It takes some time to get the "official story" straight. We understand that, but now it's getting ridiculous. Our confidential informants tell us the authorities have warned people on base not to talk to the media or spread what they call "rumors." That tactic has backfired big time. WHAT DID HE KNOW, AND WHEN DID HE KNOW IT? Contrary to original reports - that NCIS only learned of a red-hot affair between base commander, CAPT John Nettleton, and Tur's wife Lara after Christopher turned up dead - we can tell you it was "common knowledge" at GITMO that the two were playing around together for some time. When did the now dead man learn his wife, appointed by Nettleton as head of Fleet and Family Services, was stepping out on him? Did he threaten to expose the affair, thus endangering Nettleton's career, and what would that mean for the adulterous wife? Divorce? The odds of a standard "he/she committed 'suicide,' nothing to see here, folks, move right along" strategy is untenable 30 days after the PX loss prevention officer was discovered dead. CONCEALING THE AUTOPSY REPORT Here's the latest from our people on the ground. The autopsy shows Tur had no water in his lungs, and we are told, there were signs of physical injury inflicted on the cuckold husband that took place before he died. "NCIS doesn't want it known," said a frustrated resident of the military installation. "They are trying to intimidate us into silence, but I have news for them. Everyone but everyone here is talking about who murdered Chris Tur, and why." MilitaryCorruption.com has obtained a copy of the base newspaper, The Gazette, which has a fascinating obituary of the popular, deceased PX worker. Read it between the lines, folks, and you'll get the message: "CHRIS WAS A BELOVED MEMBER OF THE GUANTANAMO BAY COMMUNITY . . . TO HIS WIFE LARA, HE WAS A LOVING AND DEDICATED HUSBAND. HE WAS HER PARTNER IN CRIME, HER SOUNDING BOARD, HER KARAOKE PARTNER, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, HER BEST FRIEND THROUGH NEARLY 20 YEARS OF MARRIAGE . . . HIS LOVE NEVER WAVERED." The couple came to GITMO in 2011, the year before CAPT Nettleton assumed command of the base. We are still trying to nail down just how far back the affair began. The 27-year veteran officer is the second commander to be fired at the Cuban-located installation. Navy CAPT Leslie McCoy was also relieved, in 2010, for what his boss, REAR ADM Annette Brown called " a loss of confidence in his ability to effectively lead."

Any indication Nettleton is under an Article 32 investigation? If so, it explains some why little or no information is provided. The Article 32 is a military USMJ version of a grand jury investigation. I did two of those in my Army career. Until the findings are delivered to the UCMJ convening authority, no information is provided. A PAO can say the matter is being investigated. With Nettleton relieved, it looks like the JAG is going for him. If you see anything on a 32 investigation ping me.
