There is plenty of money that can be used to fund our social safety net. However, to answer your question: ...what we should do - is elect representatives who will re-write the tax-code to favor AMERICAN job creation. Our current tax code has done just the opposite. The creation of an additional 500,000 good middle-class jobs per month for a couple of years would solve virtually all of the real problems our society is facing. This is my opinion. Tax penalties for owners/stockholders of companies that have moved jobs off-shore. 2. Reform trade policies to favor job creation in the US. 3. New and higher tariffs on imported goods. 4. Jump start the process by committing the necessary resources to rebuild US infrastructure.
